i am so excited about visiting kelsey in three weeks. not only do i get to spend time with my east coast best friend (for the second time in 2 months), but i get to go to washington dc. i know that doesn't sound all that fun to most, but for me it is an opportunity i have been anticipating for years. as a political science major, the mechanics of our country are riveting. we will skip the main tourist spots (linclon memorial, the fucking white house [which i would go AGRO if i saw it], washington monument ect). we are purely going to visit the capitol. if i really had my choice i would sit in on a rules committee hearing (where the house sets all sorts of special rules for certain bills to be heard on the floor). rules committee, THATS where the action is! pure partisan politics and good old fashion arguments. i don't want to see the floor, i see it all the time on CSPAN; not too exciting. but the BRITISH parlament on the other hand, that would be fun. now i am totally off subject. ANYWAY, 5 days in virginia for kels' 21st birthday will be a riot.
