Yes, the TEAM played extremely well yesterday....what an effort! Effort can
overcome skill all day long!
On another note........
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and getting your Degree! I don't
know you much on a personal level, but I'm proud of you nonetheless....I do
my best to keep Kayla focused on getting a college education. I also like to
keep her surrounded by positive, college educated, black women such as you.
I've watched you over the last 6 months and your interaction with the kids
and I'm very impressed. You had a lot on your plate; school, coaching, work,
etc......and you seemed to have kept it together pretty well. In short, I
think that you are a good role model and influence for Kayla (as well as the
other kids).....if at all possible, please keep in touch with her when the
season is over....you know, to ask her about school and such. Other than the
day she was born....seeing her graduate from college will be the happiest
day of my life! I'm just trying to keep her focused......BTW, she wants to
go to USC ;-)
This was from the single father of one of the girls that I coach. I almost cried a little because this is the girl I really have taken under my wing and have high hopes for. I'm glad what I've done has resonated enough for her dad to see it.

Hi Victoria,
It was so nice to meet you! I am sure that your party will be a blast!
After you left I realized that since you are graduating you may be looking
for a job. We are currently hiring a Sales Manager for our office. If you
are interested just let me know and I can set up an interview with our
Director & General Manager. If not I am sure you will find a fabulous job.
You have such a great personality!
Take care,
Leah Bernstein

This one was from the woman that is organizing my graduation party. After a couple months of phone and email correspondence, we met in person for the first time today and even though I was looking beat ass with no makeup, she still considers me for a job. I think that's awesome.
