Obligatory Monday morning entry

Apr 03, 2006 08:50

This weekend was long, which is usually great, but seeing as how I don't have a job to look forward to weekends from, it was just regular.

Friday night was Seth's bday party exxxtravaganza. I don't think the night could have been executed more flawlessly. We had dinner at El Cholo in a private room featuring pitcher after pitcher of margaritas. I met Seth and Jonathan's friend Brian Oliver, who is my new favorite person ever because the first thing he said to me when I drunkenly swaggered over to shake his hand was "You look like one of my old clients -- Rosario Dawson."

Loved him immediately.

After dinner we went to Zanzibar for some house goodness where we had the best seats in hiznouse. I got my house step on all night, Jean I hope you were proud.

The after-party started on the bus back to Pedro where I promptly passed out for the entire ride home. Upon arrival I found my second wind and ran around the house all night with the world's coolest people: Jason and KJ.

Jason is Seth and Jonathan's old roommate from 'SC who now lives in the Bay working with at-risk youth in Oakland. He's got a genuinely good soul. I just adore him with all my heart.

KJ is basically my idol in life. I don't know how this is going to sound, but I'll say it anyway. I never had issues growing up wanting to be like anyone else. People wanted to be like me (ha!). But KJ is the girl who I would spend my whole life trying to be because she is that cool. She is a self-proclaimed "Chew" (Chinese/Jewish) and used to tour with the Suicide Girls. I met her briefly last year at Seth's party, but this time around I got to spend a lot of time with her and I just fell madly in love.

I love that everytime I get the chance to hang out with Jonathan's friends they gush over him to me, tell me how lucky I am, how amazing he is and how I better not break his heart or I'll die. It's truly a testament to the kind of person he is that he has that much of an effect on all the people in his life.

So that was my Friday/Saturday. The rest of Saturday was spent doing absolutely nothing. I got Hathaway real good for AFD. He was half-asleep napping and I was like "baby, wake up, we have to go to Rite Aid. I need a pregnancy test." His face was just classic. Got him goooood.

Yesterday we made breakfast/lunch and dinner together and today we're spending the whole day together at the Dodger game, etc and somehow we're not sick of each other yet. That's so awesome.

I talked to my mom this morning and decided I'm going to start reading the Bible. I've got a fantastic relationship with God already, so it's not a religious thing. Hard to explain why. But I'm intrigued.

I'm off to the gym. Twelve weeks of going 5 days a week. I'm going to pat myself on the back.
