Today I woke up in an optimistic mood at around 10:30. Ate a full breakfast and took out the guitar for an hour or so. I checked in on the college news and according to an email I received, I can apply to Colby College as a transfer student in the class of ’09. Seriously. I will be skipping ANOTHER grade. How lucky can I get in all this? And besides this, if I am not accepted, I can apply to any other college on my list to begin in January ’07, leaving me time to save enough money to live comfortably and to volunteer to give my application some polish. I'll admit, passing over my freshman year with jjust 9 credits doesn't sound like the best idea, but it's still nice to entertain the notion.
After all that excitement I spent a little while repairing my disco ball. apparently the mirrors are connected by strands of glue which attach them all to the styrofoam ball at the center. i split on strand that was extremely loose and glued it back on, as well as grafting a few mirrors to cover some bald patches on the bottom. Then I showered while singing "feliz navidad" (dont ask why... i really dont know) and did some laundry. After that I worked on my song a little while longer. It starts with some nice variations of "d" and dips into some minor chords here and there. overall, its got a nice folksy sound to it. then I went back to work on my college stuff, having narrowed it down to fifteen schools, I am currently checking them out online for more details.
lol... some people must hate me for being homeschooled. but really, it wasn't always this easy. I'm just enjoying the fruits of my labors after last semester's living hell.
Getting over this cold was easy enough, i think im through the worst. just a light stuffy nose. i found a cure - drink, drink, drink. i must have drunk a gallon of water yesterday.
