I really only have one thing to say as a Penn State alum - I expect heads to roll and the blood of unconscionable asshole administrators to flood the streets of State College. I am reasonable, though - the heads of administrators can also be impaled on large stakes right outside the school gates. Until this happens, though, I am not donating a single cent to the University.
More wanky angst in the NY Times about a perceived shortage of STEM majors earlier this week (see
here). There aren't enough jobs to keep the current STEM graduates in the US fully employed, let's be honest. We don't need to start graduating even more STEM majors. There are a whole host of other problems, of course, ranging from ones in academia and the private sector to society as a whole.
