1.) My spectrometer is being repaired and no one mentioned it to me. (Well, it's actually the shared user facility's instrument, but as no one really seems to use it except my group historically, but that's a minor detail.)

2.) Finally running Snow Leopard! Will not bother with Mac OS X Lion until I know everyone plays nicely with them.

3.) Apparently Google is going to try and take over more of your life by installing a superluminal neutrino-based data transfer network to replace the Internet. Mark Zuckerberg is apparently very pissed at this development.

4.) There's a joke to be made here about an infinite number of monkeys using a typewriter for an infinite amount of time. I do think that the proliferation of distributed computing methods to tackle scientific problems is a very good thing, and probably something that will lead to more results in the future.
