Hullo you,
As I'm not sure if I have your correct e-mail address, thought I'd slip this into LiveJournal and if I don't see you there, then hopefully somewhere else soon.

spimcoot: It's so long ago since our last joint birthday bash that I can barely remember it.
Michelle: I couldn’t remember it the day after.
spimcoot: Perhaps we should have another one to see what it was like.
Michelle: Okay, I’ve just about recovered from the hangover from the last one …
spimcoot: … and this one should see us through to our 40th. Where shall we have it?
Michelle: How about some paradise with a beautiful beach, warm clear ocean, hot sun, colourful wildlife and tropical cocktails?
spimcoot: Wouldn’t Brighton be more convenient?
Michelle: I meant Brighton! … Well, the cocktails bit is true anyway.
Both: So if the sun is shining then we'll be on the beach from about midday on SATURDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER. Bring along beach balls, children (but only if you have them), flip flops and booze. Find us on the beach by the Peace Statue (big angel), which is near Michelle’s flat (9 Upper Market Street, Hove, BN3 1AS but the entrance is on Brunswick Street East which is the next road up, next to the flower shop).
Barbeques are allowed from 6pm so bring disposables (or a proper one if you have one. We don’t but for some reason Michelle can provide charcoal).
If it's raining or cold then we'll be in Michelle’s flat or some of the pubs nearby.
Either way, in the evening from 8pm we'll be in the Robin Hood pub
http://www.viewbrighton.co.uk/pubsandbars/robin-hood-review-26233.html which is stumbling distance from the flat. There’ll be music and 'dancing' back at the flat afterwards.
There’s limited room in the flat for people to stay over (about 8 fairly comfortably, 10 at a squish) but there are plenty of B&Bs. Trains run back to London Bridge until 23.40 and then start again at 05.45 if you get carried away - although if you reach that point you might as well just sleep on the beach!
Hope to see some of you there. Bring others if you wish.
Love Michelle and spimcoot xxx
spimcoot: We did that very well, I thought. Perfect unison.
Michelle: Like some kind of spooky twins from a film.
spimcoot: And these matching dresses look very well on us too …
