This is a message from Liz Carlin Metz sent out yesterday. She emailed it to a bunch of people, who in turn, emailed it to a bunch more people. I figure that there's at least 1 or 2 of you who might not have seen this yet. If you don't know Doc Bob, or have already seen this, my apologies.
Hey alumni and students,
Doc Bob is having a rough time and needs some TLC. He had a hip replacement on June 13, which in itself went well, but he developed
blood clots in his lungs and the hip. This knocked him for a loop and he became very depressed. He was sort of out of sorts about having the surgery in the first place and the complications have impeded his recovery. They put him on blood thinners and the lung clots have
responded, but the hip ones could take longer. He had to be in the hospital longer than expected and is now in a rehab center (which he
really did not want to have to do), though he has expressed the hope that he will go home soon. So--it would be really great if you would
pass the word through your various on line networks and get as many cards and notes to him as possible. 1092 N. Prairie St. Galesburg IL 61401
I haven't put this on the theatre dist list, as I didn't want Bob eventually to see it, so current students should also try to get the word out--maybe through show contact lists if you still have them.
Liz,
keeping the home fires burning
