So, back at school I am. It is cold here, I am still sick (although hopefully on the path to recovery), and have my first 2 classes today. Intro to Drama went well, and I have read most of the plays, so it should go quite well. I am not the only senior in the class, and more importantly, not the only senior Theatre major. As for scenic art, I am still looking into making that a pass/fail course, because while I know I will still work myself hard, I also know that if I am doing it for a letter grade, I will work myself into the ground. This is a fun course for me, so we'll see if I can make it as little stress as possible.
I also have a meeting with Dining Services today, as they did not approve my application for being off board. Granted, I really only skimmed the surface when I told them the reasons I needed to be off board, because I honestly don't feel it's their business to know everything about me. Apparently the head of dining services disagrees, so after a very long email to them yesterday spelling out every reason I should be off board, I am meeting with him today to re-discuss. If this doesn't work, it's a trip to the dean and my mom calling as well for the next step. The Assistant Dean of Students that has been handling it doesn't seem to think I should have been rejected, because I submitted everything and had an actual spelled out diet. We shall see what today brings.
Shower, lunch, haircuts with Morgan, meeting, work call, dinner, class. I seem to have fallen right back into the swing of things. Somehow, I managed to wake up at 7 this morning, and was unable to go back to sleep. Whatever this mysterious illness is, it's unfair. I feel drained of energy, but I can't sleep. Riddle me that.
Oh, also, I hadn't been on campus 24 hours, when I was offered a job for the summer in Chicago. Can you guess who it was? (Bethany, you'll know this one) Apparently, it's from early July through early November, a smidgen of money, and instead of Thursday shows, they are thinking of 2 on Saturday. I might still want to do Alaska, but I have to get my act in gear.
