Spillthecolors Guidelines

Spillthecolors is where all your graphics battles will take place.

How this subcommunity will work:

- I will hold two battles a month. One will be a 'regular' graphics battle and the other will have voting. Each will require anywhere between 2 and 10 icons depending on the theme. Typically they will be in the range of 4 to 8, with only an occasional bigger or smaller one. Points for participation in these will vary. Typically 5 to 10 points per icon.

- Anyone who wants to, can organize a battle. The only condition is that they participate in them.
You will get points for hosting a battle depending on what kind of a battle it is and possibly on how many people participate. That means that hosting a battle for say the theme Black and White and having 3 people participate will earn you less points than hosting a battle in which you provide 20 caps and in which 30 people participate. The amount of work you put in = the amount of points.

- Participating in battles organized by others will get you the same amount of points as participating in 'official' battles will, 5-10 per icon, depending on the nature of the battle.

- More info on battles hosted by you:
You can choose any theme/subject you want.
You can have battles in which everyone makes anywhere between 2 and 20 icons.
You choose deadlines for the battles you host and they can be anything between 24 hours and the length of the phase.
If you decide to host a battle you can go ahead and make an entry to this comm and that entry needs to include:
subject of the battle with a short explanation if needed and deadlines (if you have one for providing caps and another for finishing - if you don't require others to provide caps, just the 'need to be done by' deadline is fine)
Tag your entries with '!call for battle' please.
I'm not putting a cap on the number of battles you can host per phase for now but I reserve the right to do so in the future if need be.
One important thing. For these battles, hosted by you, the community's spoiler policy doesn't have to apply. That means that if someone wants to host a quick battle with say Teen Wolf 3.01 as soon as it airs, they are free to do so. If you choose to host a battle with spoilers being allowed it needs to be clearly stated in the entry outside of the cut that there will be spoilers in that battle and all the caps or anything else spoilery has to be behind a cut!
