POPOLO 2011.02 - NEWS' IMPORTANT THINGS
(Who cares I'll pimp only MY important thing ♥ )
What are NEWS to you?
K: Everyone is different, that's the fun in it. For exemple if NEWS had to take seats somewhere everybody would choose a different place to sit. We all know the others' places so there wouldn't be a fight for them. Inside all this I think I'm the connecting pipe of the group.
T: A union of solo artists. There's no other group with so many solo activities as us, I think that's great. The experiences we gather up individually become a good stimulus to each other. So that when we're together, everybody has a big presence with great power, it scares me sometimes.
M: Everybody is dyed of their own color. Everyone of us has solo activities, everybody has a strong personality, a different color, that's why when we're together we're "white"! I think we're a group that can be dyed of many colors. Recently we grew up so much, I feel our atmosphere is even better now.
R: Together we're special! Having dramas, cds, solo activities, we all work so hard! When we mix together our real faces we become a very special group. Recently during the Dome Tour I realized how good friends we are!
P: When I see their faces I have fun. We're a funny group! When we meet we always chitchat, even though Tegoshi is always playing videogames (lol). When we work solo we are spread in different places but when we're back together we match our powers and become a very good group!
S: My male classmates. We're always together so we see a lot of each others. To give an example we're like classmates in a school where classes never changes. When we're all together it's like a school festival. To me they are friends that always give me many stimulus!

Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1. Dreams. You can't know what will happen in life. I want to stay forever a boy with many dreams!
2. Work. I want to do properly my job and become famous in all the world!
3. Dreams. Again (lol). My dream is to build a castle in France (lol)

My name's meaning
My name's meaning...I never asked about it! Tomohisa is a pretty unusual name. I think it's kinda rare. It's a mysterious name to me too.
Q. An episode about being professional at work?
Every person I worked with, co-stars, staff, directors, everybody were pro! The one who left a bigger impression on me was Yamazaki-san. His script was full of notes he wrote by himself, it was completely black. When I saw that I thought "I'm between pros for real".
Q. What do you have absolutely to do on the stage?
I bend forward for around 10 minutes. If I don't do that my legs are stiff and I'm afraid of getting injured. Everytime I go on a stage I pray with all my heart "I wish to not get injured and to not fail". Then when I'm on the stage I carefully read the uchiwa with my face and messages (lol)
Q. What is your favourite kind of music?
I listen to every genre. Sometimes I buy CD also from the jackets that give me a good impression. Like this sometimes I fail too tho (lol). My parents love music too so I'm used to listen to rock since I was born.
Q. Give us highlights for Ashita no Joe!
The message that Joe wants to express is: "No matter how many times you fall, you have to stand up again". When you decide to do something you have to go on until the end of it, that's the sturdiness I want to express.

Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1. Work. Thanks to work I met many people and found many interests. I gained many things from it.
2. Hobbies. Doing them I have my reset time. I have many hobbies so I'm always busy!
3. Love!! Family, members, friends, fans. No matter what, it's love for sure! (lol)
My name's meaning
My dad searched for it and riding the fashion of that time he put me a name reflecting: "Wishing that you'll grow up brightly" (Akaruku seichou suru youni 明るく成長するように). It never happened that somebody read it as Shigeaki at the first try though (T_T)
[Awww it's very pretty meaning ♥ Though even the dictionary doesn't use those readings for the characters of his name so of course people can't read it properly :D]
Q. What's for you a "healing" time?
When I'm in wide places like under the sky in a park or in the middle of the sea I feel really fine. Many times I just stay there relaxing and not thinking to anything but sometimes I use them to take my time to think. Those are perfect places to think only to yourself quietly and feel healed.

Q. An episode expressing your hate for failure!
I hate to lose in everything. When I play games I go on playing until I win. I do my best when it's my field but when I see that my avversary is about to win for sure I give up (lol). By the way Tegoshi is the maximum expression of this.
Q. Tell us about "Member Ai"!
There are many things that I would never do by myself. I realized this recently during the tour, I realized what NEWS are since the others were there and because we're doing our best all together.
Q. Why do you like to fish?
Because of that first day when a friend brought me to fish, it was a challenge! I was the only one to catch something! I liked that feeling of satisfation and now I'm very absorbed in it. It's a sport where you have to use all your body, it's useful to discipline your body.
Ryo
Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1. Rice. I love it, I really love it! White simple rice is the very best!!
2. Meat. Like chicken or pig meat's shougayaki. It's the best with white rice!
3. Sense of danger. Because of course I have to do my best from now on too.

My name's meaning
When I was little I thought that Ryo had a nice sound. Everybody always called me Ryo or Ryo-chan, I guess it's just simple to say.

Q. How do you compose songs? What's your favourite song recently?
When I have time at home I play guitar and little by little I compose songs playing around. Sometimes I also compose with my pc when I'm in train or car. Recently I'm hooked to Kanye West's last album!
Q. What is essential going to the beach?
When the waves are big or when there are too many of them it's scary so...courage is essential! Also a banana, I always eat one before entering the water (lol) In winter I don't surf so I didn't go to the beach recently. I want to go there soon!
Q. Between the members who has similar tastes in food to you?
My tastes don't match anybody in NEWS I think! Because I'm ok just with white rice, fried bread and miso soup (lol) I want only regular meals.
Q. What was the latest amusing movie you watched?
I went to see Harry Potter & the deathly hallows! I have all the DVDs too, I love it. I really want to be a Gryffindor (lol) I already can't wait for the 2nd part!

Koyama
Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1.Confidence. Not from other people but from myself. Without it I can't do my best.
2. Gratitude. I always think back to my day and say "Thanks" before sleeping.
3. Smile. When you smile happiness comes to you, that's why it's important to always smile.
My name's meaning
It seems that the character for Keii 慶 is used for its meaning of "Rejoice". It's a pretty difficult character though, even my best friends usually get it wrong when writing it (lol).
Q. When will be your debut as Koyashige with your best friend Shige?
We're ready for it so we're just waiting the GO sign! (lol) We could start from a little, cozy event, like a little butai with me, Shige and a kotatsu. That's the image that I have.

Q. 2011 will be the Rabbit year. What's the dream you want to come true?
In 2010 we had a tour in Osaka and Tokyo but of course I want to meet everybody with a tour in the whole country! Live we can listen to the fans' voices and relieve ourselves, to me that is the best power.
Q. Being a newscaster, what would you like to do?
Lately I've bought a stopwatch, I'm training myself at talking in intervals. When you work as newscaster you have to fight against seconds. Not only reading, you also have to think about the subject and be aware of what you want to express to the people.
Q. Give a score as in your butai to the members!
Everybody scored, in different ways, 100 points! Firstly Yamapi for the efforts, Ryo-chan for is toughness, Massu for is expressing power, Tegoshi for how is an idol, he's totally 100 points. Shige as an idol scores -20 points (lol) but maybe he gets 120 points for his creativity.

Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1. Gyoza. If I go on eating them my whole body will become a big gyoza.
2. Clothes. They are essential. I bought a new shirt in Sweden too!
3. Happy. In work and private life I want to always enjoy my time.

My name's meaning
貴 is "Precious" and 久 is "long time", it has a kinda noble feeling (lol). Then "Taka" is done by 12 strokes, "Hisa" by 3, this number of strokes has a good chemistry with the name Masuda.
Q. Do you usually sing?
I love singing so I'm always doing it. It happened that somebody wanted to hear their favourite song. But when somebody is listening to me I prefer to sing something else.
Q. An episode of you liking being alone.
Basically I hate doing things alone. I end up feeling lonely (lol). Having meals alone...that's impossible! Just recently I started to go to cafè alone. I became an adult (lol). But I can perfectly go to shopping alone.
Q. Tell us your ambition!
Recently I started to be interested in architecture, I think I'd like to live in a fashionable building. Like a castle over a hill, an house with a big gate. But since I suck at cleanings it should be a tiny 2LDK castle (lol). I would also order my own furniture!

Yamashita-kun -> It seems he grew even more muscles!

Nishikido-kun -> It seems he's working with Kanjani8 too
Koyama -> It seems he's having a Butai
Tegoshi -> I heard his home is beautiful.

Q. What are the 3 most important things to you?
1. Family. Because of course family is the presence that will always be at my side.
2. Friends. They know everything about me, we'll stay together until death!
3. Fans. They are a part of me. Without them my singing or dancing would be meaningless!

My name's meaning
I don't know the originary meaning (lol). I like my name because it's pretty rare. It's also simple to memorize, it's a nice thing!
Q. Why did you start playing soccer?
Ramos-san was my hero. I wanted to be like him so I started playing soccer at the kindergarten. I always always played it, I became a regular player! Soccer taught me the importance of the teamwork.
Q. What do you aim to as an artist?
An artists is someone with a big influence so I want to be more aware of myself. That's why I want to work at my best as singer, dancer, actor, until I won't reach the total satisfaction.
Q. Teach us your best recipe!
I don't cook that much but recently I learnt to do Asaba Tofu. A friend taught me the recipe and I faithfully repeated that. It's a chinese dish full of lot of carrots, ginger and broad bean chili paste.
Q. Which is the country you'd like to visit in ItteQ?
With ItteQ I went to many unusual places so this time I'd like to go to Europe. Where I went were all places that made me feel lucky and blessed, everything in Japan was better so it filled me with pride.
