10 movies in 1 month - November

Dec 02, 2010 22:24

With the beginning of university I thought it was impossible to complete the target this month but in the end with a little effort in the last days of the month I succeeded again! I must say that I've never been too fond of movies, usually I watch them but forget them after little time, I've never been a big fan of them. But this project is really stimulating! This month I searched for movies that are famous or that I've always wanted to see but didn't. My will of watching even more movies is increasing, they are really a nice way to spend a night ><
Guess I have to thank Shige once again *pats the monkey*  ♥

Sherlock Holmes (7.11) - The prince of Persia (19.11)

Ok ok, those two movies are worthy enough to be seen just because they are full of HOTTIES lol
Sherlock Holmes is a movie that I wanted to see on the big screen so much but in the end I couldn't, and it's a shame T_T I liked it so much! And I'm so excited since I read that they are already filming the sequel! I love Robert Downey Jr. ♥ I liked the atmosphere of the movie and the expedient they used to show how Sherlock's mind works. It's a very enjoyable movie, totally recommended!
Prince of Persia is one of those movies that everybody wanted to see but that me and lots of my friends marked as "stupid". We all grew up playing with the videogame so we thought the movie was just something to show lots of special effects and that it would ruin our memories. On the contrary! I enjoyed it so much! Jake Gyllenhaan is too hot to be true and the story was described so well! I shipped the couple very much, they were so cute and not mushy! Nyaaah ♥

Harry Potter & the deathly hallows (21.11)  -  Dorian Gray (27.11)

Well, this month was Harry Potter's month, I follow the books/movies since their very first appearances so of course I went to see it at the cinema ♥ The last movie was excellent! I totally hated the previous one so I must say that I was expecting the worst from this, also knowing that they had to cut the story in two. It was great instead, they didn't miss any important parts of the book, they succeeded in cutting the most long "useless" parts and to make them lighter and they also cut the story nicely. I think that the next movie will be a big mess since they left all the battle/action parts to it...can't wait to see it, of course I'll have to bring lots of tissues with me because I'm going to cry so much XDD
Dorian Gray is one of my favourite books EVER. Let's start with this. The movie was nice, it was true to the story and the actors were just perfect, I have to admit that I really can't think of a better Dorian than this one @_@ I didn't like too much the horror turn that they gave to the story because I'm a scaredy-cat XD But it was nice the same.

A beautiful mind (24.11)  -  Eat, pray, love (25.11)

I know, A beautiful mind is an old, cult movie. Sorry. I never saw this before. That's why I decided to watch it >< I loved it, now I understand why it's such a famous movie. Nothing more to say XD
Eat, pray, love...how to even start to talk about it...ok. It's an offensive movie. At least I'm talking of the first part because it's very close to me since it's filmed in Rome and it "shows" Italy and Italians. Like, really? American people think that in Rome, which is just to remember the Italian capital city, we don't have current hot water? Really? That all Italians have a Vespa and that we eat spaghetti all the time? Come on, we are in XXI century, the picture showed by this movie is just RIDICULOUS. When Julia Roberts, by the way her character was obnoxious, fucks off from Italy the movie gets better or maybe it was only because I could relax and stop spiting hate LOL The message of the movie is positive and there are some touching lines. This cannot balance all the hideous stereotypes that it brought though.

The switch (28.11)  -  Public Enemy (30.11)

The switch is an easy, light comedy. I recommend it as usually to spend a nice night ^^ Well, it's a deep movie I don't really know what to say XD
Public Enemy was such a disappointment! It was so boring @_@ Johnny Depp is amazing, hot, perfect and everybody but the movie was just boring as hell. No catching plot, too many useless action, a unlikely love story...It was a pain to finish to watch it. This was another of the movies I wanted to go to see when it went out at the cinema, I'm happy I didn't waste money on it :D

The man who stare at goats (29.11)  -  Nodame Cantabile 2nd movie (29.11)

The man who stare at goats was just HILARIOUS! Loved it XD I'm such a nerd because everytime they made jokes about Star Wars with Ewan McGregor I laughed so much! It's a very absurd story and the plot is just a mess but it's so enjoyable and funny! Really really loved it ♥
Nodame Cantabile...I can't believe it's really over!! T_T Nodame & Chiaki were some kind of friends and now it's over TOT So sad! I wished it never ended, it's so adorable and I love the music and all the characters, I feel like watching the series and the movies once again just now! ♥

Lol this month was really the hotties month! XD
I had:

Robert Downey Jr.   Jude Law   Jake Gyllenhaal   Daniel Radcliffe   Phelps Twins   Ben Barnes  Russell Crowe   Javier Bardem Luca Argentero   Johnny Depp   Ewan McGregor   George Clooney   Hiroshi Tamaki  ♥ ♥ Bye bye ovaries! ♥ ♥
