ONLY STAR 11.2010
RYO & SHIGE

-Tell us some backstage story about the recording of your new single Fighting Man.

R: This time I was very fast at recording. I was done in 30 minutes.

S: 30 minutes! So fast!

-This time too the song is parted in different short parts. Did you practiced at home or something?

R: No, I always do like this, I hear the song in the car while moving. That's the best way to memorize the song for me.

S: That's cool. By the way, this time I was faster than usual too. Not yet only 30 minutes though (lol). It's a song exciting and easy to sing.

-Your concerts are over, what are your thought about the other members after those 1 year and 8 months?

S: It's difficult to say all the changes that every member had...I felt that everybody are more mature now. Somehow everybody changed so I think that every one of us is different from the past with different kinds of charm.

R: It's been a long time but it was amusing just like always.

S: During this year and 8 months everybody had solo activities but being all together again was really funny. It felt nostalgic but it also made me realize how much we love doing lives.

R: When you're able to meet more than 50000 people who came to see you it's obvious that you get excited. It was a very good feeling.

-Which is your specialty song for karaoke?

R: I don't go there too much! But Shige's special song is, nee...

S: Why do you know about it? (lol). I don't go there too often too so my specialty song is nothing of planned.

R: The song I sing the most recently is "Nagori yuki" (Iruka - 1975). It's always inside my head.

S: So old! To me it's Shogo Hamada's songs.

-Your voices are pretty similar!

S: Really? Ah! Maybe that's why it's easy to sing them!? I guess (lol)

-About Fighting Man, against what are you fighting recently?

R: The sleep demon...... (<- he's sleepy)

-How do you fight it?

R: If I have some time, even 5 or 10 minutes, I take naps. It's my secret weapon (lol).

S: I fight every single day. About deciding what to do everyday and trying to follow my decision, or not. Most of the times half of my days pass trying to decide what to do (lol).

-Nishikido-san, I saw you playing piano recently, why did you start studying it?

R: I bought one 3 years ago and I started playing it by myself but I didn't get better at all. I just thought that being able to play many instruments must be funny.

-Do you use some textbook to exercise?

R: No, I practice mostly by ears. Since I know guitar chords I can play the original melodies at some extend.

-Since when you're able to play guitar?

R: I started when I was around 17 yrs old, so it's been 8 years. I don't have a big repertory, my specialty there is "Aka chouchin" (Kaguya Hime - 1974).

S: Ahahaahahah! So old again!

R: "Aka chouchin" it's a really wonderful song!

-I read that you love white rice, with what do you usually eat it recently?

R: It depends. I like it with dried plums or shiso. As secondary dish I'd say with shrimps chilli. If I drink sake I can't eat anything so I'm trying to be very firm about it. If I can eat shrimp chilli I can also enjoy sake (lol).

-Kato-san, "Koyashige's spring debut" is really only an "Iitai dake"?

S: It is (lol). Though it would be great if we have such an opportunity.

-You love to travel, so much that Masuda called you "Travel Man", which is the next place you'd like to visit?

S: Maybe France? I never went there so I guess I can't really be called a travel man, right? Somehow. I really can't stand traveling alone. Because I can't comunicate with foreign people.

-It seemed you are pretty good with English, though.

S: I'm really really bad. But recently I befriended a French person who's in Japan to study, maybe I can make this person bring me to France one day (lol).

-I wonder if in the end you made the members try to eat your home-made dried plums, how were they?

S: Ahahahahah! I don't have the self-confidence to make somebody else try them. It was the first time I made them and they were good but too much salty. If I decrease the salt they will be average dried plums but people prefer sweet ones, right? With the original recipe they're salty though. I think that next time I'll try to make them sweeter for everybody!

R: I'm getting hungry listening to all this~

S: Ahahahahah!

R: Dried plums are good. And they match with white rice!

I'm so jealous of whoever this French person is =_____=
