PhotoShigenic #71
Today Shige came to the studios after doing shopping.
He started taking out many little bags one after another going "Isn't it sooooo cute?" like a high school girl.
He wanted opinions from the staff but we couldn't say more than a "Eh, ahh..." with a puzzled face.
Shige was holding those little fake fishes used as lures in fishing. "You put this over the hook...look, it doesn't seem offensive at all, soooo cute~ And the tuna will think this is a real fish, aren't they lovely~~"
Totally like a little girl in front of a puppy, his eyes were heart-shaped.
["This is how I see them"]
I was invited by a friend to a Summer festival. I don't like crowded places so I think it's more than 10 years that I don't go to a festival. My friend assured me that his town's festival is quiet, not crowded and there are only old people, so I decided to go with him. It felt nostalgic to see those traditional festival stands again, the town people were all hyped up dancing, it was so moving. Anywhere you could see those typical stands selling apples, shaved ice, chokobananas, the target games, so much fun. I felt like I was a kid all over again. Entranced in that atmosphere my friend said "I want to try to win a fish!" After all I tried it too and I was pretty good at it. In the past I couldn't catch those fishes but now I kept winning. The net didn't break as easily as before. But on the other side my friend was struggling. I heard a voice complaining "Not like that! You won't catch...Ahh...come on!" I turned and I saw a 7 years old boy cheering for my friend. I asked him if he wanted to try it too but he answered "Mama said I can't..." We were like that too. Be a good kid. Going on, a lot of children surrounded us. I looked around me and they were all little girls. "Shige, you really are an idol." Yep. I'm an idol. I can even attract kids!!! ...Ah, my net broke...
In the end we won 8 goldfishes in two. We were all excited going "8 is a lucky number!" but the problem was where to bring these fishes. When I proposed "Let's give them back" my friend replied all tough "No, we keep them."
"Let's split them and keep them."
"No, I can't...with the tour and all..."
"I will keep them for you until the end of the tour!"
...Eh? So now I'll have goldfishes? Some time ago I had a dream in which I had goldfishes at home. Is it fate?
We went to buy a tank. We put the fishes inside. We fed them. Only the biggest one ate all the feed. "Let's call it Matsuko!!" (Matsuko Deluxe-san, I'm sorry.)
...After some weeks I received a mail from my friend: The goldfishes died.
...Are you serious?!?! I called him and he said that they were all senseless...No way, the tour isn't even over yet. I even thought of buying other 4 fishes to have again the lucky number 8... Moreover unluckily...the only fish left is Matsuko... We asked around and it seems that the goldfishes used for games in the festivals are already all pretty weak. Matsuko's strength is awesome!!! We will do our best to take care of you!!
...Matsuko swimming all alone in such a big tank is really Deluxe.
