SORASHIGE BOOK
#75 to #86 Summary
I decided to make a big update of SoraShige Book, it's almost 3 months I don't post a summary of it and I feel guilty XD Here I won't post whole summaries because it seems quite pointless but only the movies, songs and books recommended by Shige and some interesting/funny episodes.
By the way I remember you that I weekly update the Facebook fanpage of the show with the songs played by Shige and some other news:
Check it out! #75 (2012.12.9)
Recommendation of the movies "Aku no Kyouten" (Lesson of the Evil) and "Battle Royale".
Song played: "Fight" by Nakajima Miyuki
#76 (2012.12.16)
Here Shige announced the release of "Senkou Scramble". The first announcement leaked and came out earlier than he wanted because he finds difficult to not spoiler or talk about the book's content for 3 months. Actually he wanted the book to be published earlier but it wasn't possible.
He also talked about NEWS performance on Best Artist 2012. NEWS were all busy that time so they had only 2 days to rehears the dance of "WORLD QUEST", the pressure was high. The rehearsal was really not enough and they were all very nervous but luckily they did pretty good during the show. Many people asked Shige what was that weird jump he did during the performance though (LOL)
Song played: "Bokura no Kisetsu" by Sayounara Ponytail
#77 (2012.12.23)
Here Shige mostly talked about "Senkou Scramble"'s contents.
Song played: "Uso" by Zainichi Funk
#78 (2012.12.30)
Song played: "Dokusho" by Miyauchi Yuri ft. Hoshino Gen
#79 (2013.1.6)
Lots of talk about fishing XD
Song played: "J' suis snob" by Boris Vian
#80 (2013.1.13)
Tegoshi seems to be very fast at reading books but back then he still didn't finish reading "Pink&Gray". He always kept it in his bag and the cover got all worn-out, Shige complains asking him to at least remove the external cover.
Books recommended: "Orange and Tar" by Fujisawa Shu, "Ashura girl" by Maijo Outaro & "Modern Times" by Boris Vian. Also the manga "Attack on Titan" by Hajime Isayama.
Song played: "Hatsukoi" by Hata Motohiro
#81 (2013.1.20)
Hawaii trip story: It always rained and even if Shige firstly refused to go shopping with Koyama they had to go, Koyama bought his beloved boots but Shige found nothing he liked. They were in Hawaii 5 days and 3 nights. There they meet some friends and they went around together, they listened to lot of music and in particular there was "I'm sexy and I know it" by LMFAO airing. Koyama sang the title verse continuously (LOL).
Countdown story: NEWS were in a big room with KATTUN, V6 and Tackey&Tsubasa. The rehearsals for NEWS ended quite early so they spent lot of time in the backstage, Shige had only one manga volume that he finished reading soon (lol). Somebody like Ueda and Higashiyama approached Shige to talk but that's quite all. Koyama had a domestic chores magazine, it seems that lately Keichan has been interested in household appliances and stress Shige a lot with questions about them. Shige began filling up the crosswords in that magazine to kill time, the definitions were almost all about domestic objects though. (
You can read the ending of this story here)
Song played: "Hey soul sister" by Train
#82 (2013.1.27)
Hawaii story: Koyama and Shige wanted to go to Hawaii since long tie, the last time they went there there was also Tegoshi. They planned the trip at the last minute, they booked everything 3 days before the departure. They were careless and they really didn't expect journalists to be at the airport. The trip anyway was pure relax, Shige said he shouldn't say that being an idol but basically he did nothing but drinking beer. Koyama and Shige were in two rooms and for half vacation they did different things. Koyama had some friends there to meet so sometimes Shige went to the beach all alone. On the first day though, they arrived in Hawaii at around 6am and they couldn't check-in in their rooms yet. In the end talking with the hotel staff Shige could enter his room but not Koyama (lol). It rained and Shige let Koyama sleep on his room sofa XD The problem was that in the end because of jet lag they slept until the evening and at night they didn't feel like going out or sleep again, so Shige spent the night alone watching videos online and drinking beer XD
Song played: "Love Letter" by Hamada Masayoshi
#83 (2013.2.3)
Shige played the song by SID to celebrate the birthday of the band's bassis Aki which is Shige's friend since long time. SID recently released a best album too, Shige said that he loves the band since his university years, before he got to know Aki, so when SID releases something he's double happy. Another one of Shige's fave song by SID is "Otegami".
Song played: "Alibi" by SID
#84 (2013.2.10)
A girl asked if Shige's not embarrassed to cry watching movies alone, Shige said that when he's alone he cries a lot, even in theaters, but he doesn't when he's with other people. Instead when people around him cry he doesn't feel like doing it, moreover he can't stand people who make noises in cinemas when crying XD
Movies recommended: "Les Miserables", "Bronson", "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg".
Mangas: "Aku no Hana" by Oshimi Shuzo.
Song played: "Yume no Shima" by RHYMESTER
#85 (2013.2.17)
Shige thanks for all the comments on NEWS DVD and says that with all the tears that fans shed watching it and NEWS members ones we can fill up 30~40 pools XD
He also commented about the performance in Music Station when everybody thought that Shige was sick or sad, he said it was nothing, only that when he dropped the mic he got depressed and didn't know how to go back to a smily face.
Song played: "Beautiful Dreamer" by Flower Companyz
#86 (2013.2.24)
The song Shige played is closely connected to "Senkou Scramble". Infacts, not only Nakamura Kazuyoshi is the favourite artist of the novel's main character Takumi and one of the representive artists of Shibuya, but the refrain line of the song "I don't want to live as if I'm already dead" became the main phrase of the whole novel.
Shige then explain the poster made for the novel, the one where he's half-naked holding a camera:
"They told me to take off my shirt for the poster, just to show the back. I replied that I didn't want to and that I wanted to refuse if possible. I didn't want the poster to create a fuss but after all that photo has its own meaning. Takumi has a scene like that in the novel. I want to explain that I'm not Takumi but I wanted to take a photo that expressed that moment of the book. I think that maybe seeing that poster one can enjoy more the novel during the reading. Anyway soon that poster will be in every bookstore, it will be pretty embarrassing. I will have to visit many bookstores and I'm so shy to do that now."
Song played: "Cannon ball" by Nakamura Kazuyoshi
