As always the show opens with Shige talking about weather~ Luckily during NEWS lives in open stages it didn't rain, despite Shige's fame of being "the rain man".
Nonetheless Shige went with Maruyama to Kyoto for 2 days to shoot pictures for their serialization and the weather was really bad. In particular Shige wanted to have lunch on a special restaurant where you can eat on a suspended floor over a river but they couldn't because of the rain. Since Maru has been called all Summer "the sun man" during the filming of his drama Shige guesses it was his own fault after all. XD
Kyoto's Maru's hometown so while they walked through the city a lot of people stopped to say hi to him, of course this embarrassed Shige a lot LOL He also felt kinda sad because the only place he can consider "hometown" is Shibuya but even there nobody really know him personally.
This month Shige spent a lot of time home reading mangas (He read around 90 volumes of Jojo), watching movies and reading books.
He read 3 novels by Maijo Outaro, he recommended "Smoke, Soil or Sacrifices", the author's first novel, although it's pretty violent and not good for delicate people.
The song by Hanson Shige played is mentioned on that book, quite unexpectedly.
He also read the Japanese translation of a part of the lyrics:
"You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You go through all this pain and strife
Then you turn your back and they're gone so fast
And they're gone so fast
So hold on to the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care?"
Comedy corner: He read some jokes about vampires and about NEWS.
One I liked was "Tegoshi stops being positive", Shige replied "Well, if he did a little it wouldn't be that bad (lol)"
Then he read some mails about Kyogen (Traditional theater play) that I will spare you :D
