1. NEWS Nippon
Q. When do you think you're glad you're Japanese?
K: The special Japanese art of using colors and patterns for kimono, for example, is wonderful!
S: The food is delicious! We use ingredients that taste soft but are delicious, it's the best. The foreigner food like Italian and French are great too.
M: I think that everytime I can admire the scenary that you can see only during a certain season.
T: The food is good and there are 4 seasons. Summer is sea and watermelon!

Q. What do you want to support right now?
K: Everybody who's doing their best. Since we're doing "Mirai Theater" I realized how much everybody's working hard.
S: I want in particular the people who were featured on "Mirai Theater" to do their best. There were many sports people, I want to see them in the Olympics!
M: The players of London Olympics! I will support them everyday watching the TV.
T: The Japanese soccer team for the Brasil Asia cup!

Q. What's your favorite red thing?
K: I wear many red clothes. Many t-shirts, jerseys and scarves. Red got impact so I always wear only one thing.
S: Apple.
M: I love apples, I usually eat them as dessert after lunch.
T: Chili pepper. When I go to China or Korea I always buy some chili sauce.
4. Cherish
Q. What's your most precious treasure at the moment?
K: The rice cooker that Hatori-san gave me for my birthday.
S: The members.
M: All the fans. I always think to this when I watch lives DVDs.
T: Friends, family, fans. I can't choose the number one!

Q. A memory about a high place?
K: I did a lot of interviews in the area near the Tokyo Sky Tree. I never went up there though, I'd like to try!
S: Some time ago I went with a friend from Kobe to Awaji. The scenary of Kobe and the big bridge of Akashi Kaikyo seen from the open air onsen was so pretty!
M: When I went to France I went on the Tour Eiffel. Watching Paris from above was so beautiful!
T: Bunjee Jumping. It was 300m in Las Vegas and 220m in Switzerland, but it was so much scarier in Switzerland! Because there was the dam's wall just besides me.
6. Sayaendou
Q. You're favorite dish with legumes?
K: Natto. I often eat it for breakfast with white rice.
S: Natto. I usually add eggs and onion but it's delicious just like that too.
M: Legumes salade. I eat it rarely but it's so good!
T: Natto. I love eating it raw or with rice and nori.
7. Hadashi no Cinderella Boy
Q. At Midnight the spell brokes. What were you doing yesterday at midnight?
K: The laundry. I had my laundry in the dryer, it was quite done.
S: I was drinking with friends in a bar. We were talking passionately about work.
M: After the butai rehearsals I went to eat Yakitori with my co-workers. It's already the third time we eat together.
T: I was watching the sports news. I was thinking "Darvish is great!".
8. Hoshi wo mezashite
Q. Compare members to a heavenly body.
K: Shige is the moon, Massu the sun, I'm Mercury. Tegoshi doesn't match with anything so he's a "Tegon star" that hasn't been discovered yet!
S: Tegoshi is the bright sparkling sun. Koyama is Venus, Venus is fleeting and pretty. Massu is Jupiter, it's huge (lol). I would be the moon. Because I don't shine on my own. I just reflect the light of the others.
M: I'm Mercury, expert of swimming. Venus is Tegoshi with his golden hair. Shige is Saturn, he has a strong originality with his rings. Jupiter is big so it's Koyama.
T: Massu is Mercury because he swims. Keii-chan is Venus because I still remember his golden hair. I'd be Mars, right? I'm always burning. Shige is the Earth. He's so smart, he must be connected to "knowledge" (lol).
[It might help you know that in Japanese Mercury is written with the kanji of water, Venus with the one of gold, Mars with fire's one. The last phrase by Tegoshi is a pun between the "chi" of Earth and "chi" meaning knowledge]

9. Weeeek
Q. If you had 1 week off what would you like to do?
K: Go to Hawaii! I want to do shopping there!
S: I'd be very obvious and go to Hawaii. I want to bathe in the sun! (lol)
M: A trip to Europe. I want to see touristic places and museums.
T: I wanna go to Guam! I never went there!
10. Taiyou no Namida
Q. The tears you remember the best?
K: When I failed the entrance exam in high school. Those frustration tears built up what I am now.
S: I'm a crying baby so there are many. "Mirai Theater" makes me cry, the time of the trampoline player Ueyama Yasuhiro I cried so much.
M: The first time NEWS had a concert in the Tokyo Dome, from the backstage we heard the yells of fans, it was amazing and I cried of happiness.
T: The last day of Tegomass 3rd tour I burst to tears. During that tour we got very close to all the staff, on the last night we even had fireworks together. When the poster "Thank you for the work" came out during the live I couldn't help it.
11. Summer Time
Q. When do you realize it's finally Summer?
K: The girls wear dresses, there's more exposure.
S: Seeing girls in yukata. They show an unusual kind of prettiness.
M: When you don't have to wear many clothes, just one t-shirt is fine. Even though like this it's a little boring.
T: When I can go out in tank top.

12. Happy Birthday
Q. A memory of one of your birthdays!
K: When I came back home and there was Shige waiting for me, I was so surprised. It was around 2 years ago. They lent home keys from my mom and they waited for me around 2 hours.
S: I went to a bar with the plan of drinking alone with a friend but actually there were many people for a surprise party. I was moved.
M: For my 21st birthday my friends planned a big party for me for the first time. There were around 30 people, I was so happy.
T: Every year my soccer friends do a countdown for my birthday. They write me letters, they signed a soccerball, everytime they make me cry.
13. Koi no ABO
Q. The member that makes you think "He really is a OO-type!"?
K: Tegoshi is THE B-TYPE. He reacts completely different towards the things that interest him or not.
S: Tegoshi is absolutely a B-type. He can play guitar also when the others are besides him doing an interview or filming. Moreover really loud and rock! (lol)
M: I think Shige is an A-type. Lately he often wears shirts. Moreover he irons them by himself.
T: Massu is always a real A-type! They say that 0-type are rough people, right? A person detailed and who loves clean like him must be a A-type...Maybe I should search about that again?
14. Sakura Girl
Q. Express your favorite type of girl in one word, as "OO girl".
K: A girl with good manners, in short a mannered girl (lol).
S: A refined girl. She must use words in the right way and have a good handwriting. I think that a girl who's considerate to others is a good girl.
M: A proper girl. A girl who can use a nice Japanese and formal speech is nice.
T: A love at first sight girl. I'm instintive, if I don't feel anything in the moment I meet her it's no good. Something like "We're friends but one day..." doesn't work to me.
15. Fighting Man
Q. The thing that made you fight the most until now?
K: The life as a Johnny's is a continuous fight!
S: I always fight in the gym with myself. I say to my trainer "Even if it seems I'm about to have an heartattack don't be soft with me".
M: I don't know. I'm always fighting!
T: I always fight during futsal tournments. All the bruises on my legs were done sliding during them.
FAN SELECTION
1. Endless Summer
Q. A Summer memory that makes you think of youth.
K: I went to Guam with 2 of my university friends for 3 days. We drove, ate together, drank at night. Normal things but it seemed a luxury.
S: I did a lot of dramas during the Summer. Last year too I had "Hanawake no Yonshimai". It was a particularly hot Summer so I used a lot a ice spray.
M: Last year I went to the beach with a friend, we had lot of fun.
T: The night-stay of the soccer club activities in middle school. We were always under the sun, with water supply only during breaks, it was exhausting but I think it was one of the best experiences ever.
[Shige, yes, that's really a "youth-like" memory =_= #oldinside]

Q. If you were to share a room with a member who would be the best roommate and the worst?
K: The best Shige, the one with whom I could never live is Massu. He would live me notes in the fridge like "I told you not to eat that pudding!!"
S: I'd be fine with Koyama or Tegoshi. Massu has a lot of personal rules, if I change the position of the shampoo and the hair conditioner he might get very angry.
M: I can't live with nobody! I don't want share a room!
T: Everybody's fine. Whoever it is I would make them cook for me ♪

Q. A Japanese word that seems changing when written in romaji?
K: ODA NOBUNAGA!
S: NATTO. It sounds like TATTOO, doesn't it? Also HIJIKI is nice. The "I" are like hijiki (lol)
M: The vegetable NASU.
T: ONIGOKKO. The G makes it so grim!
[Oda Nobunaga is a very important military leader. Hijiki are seaweed. Nasu is eggplant and Onigokko is tag game. Japanese have a weird idea of alphabet XD]
4. Snow Express
Q. Tell us some refined information about trains!
K: When the Odakyuu Romance Car in Shinjuku station is full, sometimes standing in front of the ticket machine in the platform you can suddenly find 2 seats free.
S: In Korea there are trains in which you can go with your bicycle. In prescribed days, only the first and the last wagon. I saw it in TV!
M: The rails are longer or shorter according to the temperature, that's why each kilometer there's some void space between them, so that if they get longer everything's fine.
T: A train that I often rode in the past used to not wake up the passengers who fell asleep inside at the end of the ride, it just entered the deposit. It happened to me twice.

5. Dreams
Q. Tell us a dream that you can clearly remember!
K: A dream in which I was in the hair saloon and they completely shaved my head. I looked awful, it was so scary!
S: I often dream I'm working. For example, before the butai I dreamt to go on stage without rehearsing and I had to ad-lib everything.
M: I forget them as soon as I wake up, can't remember anything.
T: I was in the veranda and I just flew up to the sky.
6. Fly Again
Q. An important experience you'd like to have again?
K: Last year I filmed a reportage in New York on 9.11, I'd like to do it again. I want to create a connection with Japan from many points of view.
S: Last year when I went to Paris I thought "I want to come back here next year too!". I didn't visit the Louvre, I also want to enter the Moulin Rouge!
M: Climb the Fuji-san. This time I want to reach the top!
T: I'd like to go back to Sweden as Tegomass.
7. Smile Maker
Q. Have you ever tried a "OO maker" on the internet?
K: I didn't but I just thought something! Would be nice a survey where you have to answer to 50 questions to see which one of NEWS members is your type?
S: I did with my friends, I can't remember what it was!
M: What is a "OO maker"? I never tried them!
T: Eh~ I don't know! Let's try this "Inside your mind - maker" (...he tries that in the studios, the results are "Love" and "Desire") Desire?! (lol). Right now I can't play because of my legs condition so it must be "soccer desire".

Q. Which is the food you would be troubled if you couldn't eat anymore for all your life?
K: Natto! Without it there would be no satisfaction in eating rice.
S: Noodles. All I can think about is Tsukemen, Udon and Soba...
M: Gyoza of course! It would be too sad!
T: Sushi! I would be really troubled without Shimesaba.
9. Bambina
Q. If you were girls who would be the most popular member?
K: Tegoshi Yuuko, she would be able to keep control of all the boys.
S: I guess Tegoshi. A carnivore woman full of evilish charm!
M: I don't know! But maybe Shige. His hands are all soft and cute.
T: Me? Some time ago I went around the city dressed as a girl for Halloween, a foreigner man tried to hit on me (lol)

10. Kirameki no Kanata e
Q. The most sparkly thing you've got?
K: Experience. Since I've been working with "News Every" I can talk with anybody without problems, that's so important!
S: My camera. I've got one with golden profiles, it's actually sparkly (lol) [*Actually in English]
M: Clothes. They sparkle inside my house! The heavy ones are inside the closet, the summer clothes are on a rack in my room.
T: My idol life. When I watch DVDs I'm so embarrassed of my way of talking on the stage! I don't want my parents to watch me! (lol)
11. Yume no kazu dake ai ga umareru
Q. Your childhood dream and the thing you loved back them.
K: When I was a kid I wanted to be a pilot. I loved a mouse plushie. I always brought it with me!
S: I loved "Kiteretsu Daihyakka" so I wanted to be an inventor. That's why I loved the main character Kiteretsu!
M: Before entering the agency I played soccer so I wanted to be a soccer player. Back then I loved sports, I was also into dodgeball.
T: Being a soccer player. Back then I loved a Pikachu plush, I talked to it believing that one day he would come to life. In elementary school I also wished upon a star for that.

Q. Share some knowledge about numbers!
K: You can't have a 0 on the most left on a licence plate of a car. Many years ago I wanted to have "0881" as a joke but it was impossible! [*Read as Oppai = Boobs]
S: The Indian multiplication table can go from 20x20 to 99x99.
M: To distinguish 1 from 7, the 7 can be written with a hypen on it, like a katakana "nu" (ヌ). Since I knew that I always write it like that. Isn't it cool?
T: I can say all the words, one, ten, hundred, thousand...until infinite. When I was little I loved numbers, I remember I read big illustrated encyclopedias about them.
13. Mafuyu no Nagareboshi
Q. What would you wish upon a star right now?
K: That NEWS and NEWS fans' future will be happy!
S: No, no. I don't wish for the things I want. I just want the important people around me to be healthy and to have the strength to do their best.
M: That everybody can always smile.
T: That even 10 years from now I will be able to make fans happy as NEWS, Tegomass and Tegoshi Yuya.
14. Cherish (Ryoji Remix)
Q. What kind of remix of yourselves would you do, with a new ability?
K: I want to learn to cook sweets and give them to members.
S: I'd like to be taller. Around 180cm. It's useless to be that tall and not use that so I also want the ability to do some sports!
M: I want to be a good rapper, so I can add rap parts to my songs!
T: I want to be transparent so that I can play pranks to the members! I could appear suddenly between the audience seats or pull down members pants (lol)
15. Towairo no Koi
Q. What color is love to you?
K: Purple. It's my member color, so it would be to dye everything in my color!
S: Blue. I explained that in "Aoi Hitorigoto" once, sometimes I think love is so sad and painful at the point that I wouldn't like to fall in love.
M: Love after all must be pink.
T: Love makes you all cheerful so it's pink!

♪ CHANKAPAANA ♪
K: Everybody wanted our next song to be cheerful, Chankapaana is a funny song with a perfect rythm. When you'll listen to it you'll hear the very long last "Naa" from Tegoshi. The lyrics are pretty sexy but they also want to convey feelings to a beloved person. To me "beloved people" are also the fans. I want to sing it and convey all my feelings of love to everybody. It's a song that will be really exciting to sing live in concerts. I promise!
S: The theme of the song is "A girl to love", in my mind it's a girl that attracts you and you can't resist to her. You try to reach her but you can't...something like that. We were desperate trying to choose between 3 songs during the meeting for the single. It's a song that even people who don't know NEWS can hum and they'll wonder "What in the world is Chankapaana?!". Moreover everybody of us this time has his own lines, it never happened before. I'll try to look cool!
M: It's a song that you can't forget since the first listening. The lyrics are funny and strong, it's a cool song! We decided to go with it discussing all together. Right now we're getting ready to offer you a perfect performance. I wish we will all enjoy it~♪ When I sang it during the recording the key was a little high but I did my best! Please listen to it when you need to cheer up!
T: The title is a word formed by "Chan" as in girls nicknames and "Kapaana" to which we gave the meaning of "Beloved". With the BEST album we completed a first chapter and now we're ready for a new start. We all wanted a song with a strong impact, a song that let us have fun with all the fans. After the first refrain the song changes a little and the key becomes higher, it was my idea. I thought that it could be nice if the songs could sound a little lighter. Listen to it! ♪
[That's why in the second part they say dirty stuff sounding as kids singing a school chorus!! XDD That's so cute!]
