Lately
I know I haven't posted anything new in here in ages, so here's the [g]news.
Still unemployed. Went to an interview and the woman told me the company changed their mind and went on a hiring freeze. Meanwhile, I've discovered there's a lot of spammers on monster and hotjobs.
I've mainly been hanging out with my girlfriend Angel (glittertripgrl). We've been going to the occasional brewery restaurants, like Pike Place Brewery or The Elysian and have been exploring the local restaurants on the Hill. So far it seems like restaurants on Capitol Hill are very lacking in service. I'm sure I'm not revealing anything new to the locals. It's not that we demand very much, it's really just simple things like, having our food/drinks served at the same time (B&O Espresso), having our food served hot (Linda's), not having the server give our food to somebody else and forgetting us (Six Arms), or the server telling me she can't help me right now (Bill's Off Broadway). Each place seems to have it's own specialty and they're great for that, but it's like the servers don't care. Anyway, enough.
I've been slowly acclimating to the role of Mr. Mom, working on the beard, sporting the flannel, watching the soaps while waiting on the laundry... Ok, sans-beard and flannel.
Angel and I will be going to Detroit in June. I've heard a lot of cool things about Frankenmuth. We're buying tickets any day.
This weekend is SEAF, I hope to see some of my friends out there. Yes, I did get into the show. I'm very surprised with all the people who aren't in it. It seems like each year there's fewer and fewer 2-dimensional artists featured in it, so I'm glad to still be among the representing 2D artists.
