It was fast approaching dusk when Jane found Holly standing out by the balcony; avoiding groups again, being her loner self -failing miserably at it too.
Surprising Holly was almost as hard as surprising a psychic, and sometimes it irritated the hell out of Jane, but other times it was a little cute and endearing.
Moving out onto the balcony, a small grin on his face, because face it, he was close to wasted. Jane put his hands on the balcony, closing Holly where she was. "Hey, kid. What'cha thinking?" Just the nickname usually riled her up, and it was why Jane constantly used it.
The same way she constantly teased his name.
"Stop that, dolt. Or I'll kick ya." There was still a smile on her face. Jane considered tickling her. She was always ticklish, right under the ribs, it was the best way to get those hellish giggles out her. Jane got an elbow in his ribs for thinking it. "Do not go there."
He smirked, still considering it. "Aw, come on Fate; gotta smile at least once tonight." His hands moved to her waist and he felt her tense in response to the coming tickling.
Until he pressed his lips against her neck. Smiling into it as he wrapped his arms around her affectionately. "Stop worrying so much." He whispered to her, understanding that sometimes she really did get very agitated. "Now, come back inside. Des has negated Rogue, she's dancing with everyone, you'll probably get one."
