I was looking at Stephen DeKnight's blog last night, and the stuff written from the Clark/Lana fans was just malicious and hateful.

DeKnight did answer one post, "I still love you. And hope you'll tune in when I have my own show. I'm already cooking up creative ideas on how to ruin it!"
Anyway, then he hit the friends only button (LMAO)... I LOVE DeKnight, and I fear he may not belong on SMALLVILLE.. Anyone who watched BTVS/ATS episodes he has written, (For example DEAD THINGS) knows that this man does metaphor, layers and explores darkness like no other. Joss didn't give him almost all the controversial episodes for no reason.
Bless his heart, he didn't even write tonight's episode, but he DID write MERCY, which everyone seemed to love. Unfortunately, he's getting his ass kicked over there.
My question is this---How can Clark/Lana fans get SO upset? It's not like they don't KNOW they aren't going to end up together.
I think the only BIG mystery there would be if Chloe is really Chloe or is she Lois and is there's some sort of switch.
Now, I know we Buffy fans definitely gave DeKnight grief over SEEING RED.. (Tara's death, Spike trying to rape Buffy) but that was completely unexpected. Nobody saw that coming because these characters weren't already molded from a comic --you didn't know where they were going.
So, I know DeKnight has thick skin, but again I can't see throwing tantrums over Clark/Lana, when you KNEW going in that it wasn't meant to be..(Never thought that Zod would be overcome by Lana's beauty too, though..WTF was that???)
