Well I've been in Blue Springs/Kansas City since Monday morning. I had orientation yesterday and today. It was EXTREMELY tiring. Not just the time difference, but all the information and all the walking. (I am going to have sexy Jayhawk calves by the end of my first semester!)
I have a nice schedule my first semester. I am very pleased.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are as follows:
(ENG 102) Creative Writing -- 9-9:50
(SOC 110) The American Peoples -- 11-11:50
(GERM 104) German -- 12-12:50
(HIST 320) Women's Studies from Goddesses to Witches -- 2-2:50
(MATH 101) Algebra -- 4-4:50
Except on Fridays I have a Discussion for American Peoples instead of a lecture.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are as follows:
German -- 12-12:50
And that's it. Hahaha I LOVE it.
5 hours of class Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with a couple hour long breaks in between... all my classes are close by and right by the union so I don't have to stress about time. And I have one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays... at noon. Wonderful!
I have to complete 20 hours of German for my BA.. but I might have to take another couple of hours if I want to do Study Abroad in Germany. I dunno yet.
As for a major, I am very undecided. I'm looking into a few things though.
I met some cool McCollum people at orientation... which is nice. My res hall is ghettoooo (the only one not refurbished) but it'll be 10 wonderful floors of fun, I can already tell. My new roommate is from Ottawa, KS and she seems pretty cool. I hope we get along...
All in all I am very excited. Being a Jayhawk is gonna be hella fun.
Be sure to tune in to some KU home basketball games, as I will most likely be there painted in Crimson and Blue.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU!
