(no subject)
Ugh. I'm getting sick. My eyes are hot, my throat is sore and my nose if stuffy on one side. One side? wtf?
On the plus side, I'm done my ceramics course now. It was really fun and I enjoyed it and learned a lot. Unfortunately I can't take ceramics this fall because it conflicts with print. Boo. Oh well, I'll probably take it next year. Ooh, heres the "Mugging" blog from our last project: http://ceramicsandsocialengagement.blogspot.com/
My fall schedule will be Intro Painting, Intro Digital, Intermediate Drawing and Intermediate Print. I'm considering an art history, but not committed to one yet. If I do take one it will be Art Theory with Gerard Curtis I think, even though that sounds like it sucks, Gerard is teaching it, so it probably won't be that bad. I'm excited to get to do digital, maybe I'll learn how to make my own website? :D That would be awesome. And Animations! :D Woo hoo! Digital experience will open me up to possibilities with careers in design and marketing too. I've decided to say fuck it to the idea of Harlow and put all my future money towards new computer/software and other things I will need for work/studio (ie. print making equipment? pottery stuff???)
Cabee finishes school this week. Going to the cabin this weekend And I'm going to assess and possibly work on my trailer a bit. Figure out what I need, make some lists, etc. Next Monday we are going out to Rocky Harbour for the week. Gonna hang out down there, do some beach combing, do some sketching and take some pictures as reference for art pieces, and maybe hike Gros Morne if we get a good day for it.
I have two commissions coming up. One is small and the other is a little bigger, but still just a day long job. Hopefully cover some more start up costs for my summer biz. I need to really get on that now that my course is over. Not sure its so much a summer business as I'm going to be doing the work this summer and selling mostly this fall.
Eastern edge still hasn't put up their info about the 24 HAM. Someone is draggin' their feet! By this time last year everyone had to have their stuff in. Anyway, still super pumped about that. I'm thinking I might make a bunch of tiny print cards to give away or something fun like that. I can't wait to go out. 10 day vacation all to myself!! eeeeeeeeee!!!!
Gotta try to get a bit of sleep now If I can manage it. I hate having a snuffly nose. :(
