The Long And Winding Road
By ezagaaikwe
Pairing: Spike/Tara
Rating: up to NC-17.
Warning: character death
Spoilers: Seeing Red, Villains
Author Notes: Post BtVS and AtS. This fic's not big with the 'splainy about how Spike got out of the pickle he and Angel's gang were in at the AtS series finale. You just know it was damn heroic, though.

Thanks. :-) Smut to follow. It's a long 'un.

OT/Love your icon (not talking about mine, now, which I also love.) Is he as cute up close and personal as he is in your icon?

The man is awesome. All four days of Dragoncon he put out positive energy to his fans. There was even a GOTR concert. *sigh* I got his sig (second one) on the last day in the last hour. He still looked right at me and shook my hand and poured out (oh my god those eyes) positive energy to everyone. *sigh*

Thank you. Glad you enjoy. There's more -- this is to be a Dickensian serial.

This is great!

Lots of great little touches, such as Spike moving on from Buffy being dealt with so neatly, and his readiness for an adventure. Willow's breezy nonchalance about her actions is interesting, and I'm interested to see how you handle her backsliding so badly after all she learned in season 6. Poor Tara ... she's gonna be pissed.

Tish, as ever, your comments are a treasure. :-)

I was right; posting this and hearing the feedback was very motivating for getting past writer's block! Thanks!

Oh yay, great start. I can't wait to see what happens next. Yeah, Spike has an impressive track record when it comes to unwise decisions. That's what makes him so interesting. :-)

Yeah, to quote him, "it's not the direction the blood flows," i.e., brain-wards. ;-)
