SATURDAY 11th Nov 7.10 a.m ...

Dunno why I woke so early , I had a room to myself..no-one snoring or farting to keep me awake or nick all the covers ...aha, maybe that's why , not used to the peace , quiet and a whole duvet to myself *g*
I did try to go back to sleep , but in the end got up, had a coffee , toast and a cig then jumped in the shower whilst the others slept ...bastards !:)

Trying to get 8 women up and ready to go out on a Saturday morning is something only to be attempted by the insane , or someone with a death wish , so I left them to get up and wake -up in their own sweet time ..hence it being lunch time by the time we walked into town for our annual moan about how crap the shops are , a leisurely pub lunch then back to camp to fight over the bathroom mirror :)

The plan was to all be ready before Strictly Come Dancing so we could watch the lovely Mark Ramprakash shake his delightful booty , then go straight out the door in time to get a table for that nights pop fest ...but trying to get 8 lazy arsed women ready for anything after they've started in on the wine and nibbles is *see above*

Deb, Dawn ,Gez and I were ready by 7ish, so we said we'd go and get seats ..wrong !
We only managed to get one tall table near the bar area , and ended up standing all night again ...or dancing ..or in a heap on the floor , more of which later *g*

So, who did we see ? We saw The Beached Boys , a really , really good tribute band to...I think you might have guessed this one lol, the Beach Boys .
Debs was inching her way to the front again ( I must take her to a Jamses gig one of these days :)) ready to see Gerry and the Pacemakers , and I joined her after a drink and fag break, much to the disgust of the old wrinkly next to her who'd been there since Friday ready to chuck her knickers on the stage *g*
Gerry was a bit of a laugh and sang I Like It (don't we all), Ferry Cross The Mersey , You'll Never Walk Alone , and some covers of other 60s tunes like Shakin' All Over , and Out Of Time , and he sounded really good ..either that or I was pissed when everyone sounds good *g*

After that was a band called Class of 64 who were so-so ,and so we left the knicker throwing granny to it and went to join our by now very inebriated group ,who were chatting to some blokes stood behind them :) They were so inebriated they failed to ask what these unnatached blokes were doing there (whilst pouring illicit vodka into their glases ) , me being the nosy type did ask ...they were off duty security guards from the camp !
Fortunately they didn't give a toss about the booze as long as we danced with them , so we did then made our excuses about needing an early night and buggered off to Jaks , the on-site night club *g*

I have to say I was amazed at what the young uns dance to these days ...I was expecting House, or Trance music , and though there was a little bit of that , it was mostly 60s 70s 80s and 90s pop so we were up on the stage bopping away before you could say 'Summer Of 69'
* dances manically*

As we were getting our groove on , I heard this young lassie scream that there was a body under a table behind the stage ! We went to have a gander .. and its only Natalie , bless her she'd fallen asleep in an unusual spot again *snort*

To be continued.....
