A sadly neglected journal
What can I say ...nothing apparently because , apart from a dash up the M1 with my brother to check how mum was after a call from her nursing home to say she was going downhill with a chest infection , I've done nothing of interest ...no parties , no tours , no nothing

Mum is reasonably ok though ,which is good , but I do wish they'd stop scaring us like that because many a time we've dashed up there after being told she's on her last legs only to find that she's sitting up in bed being fed a cup of tea *sigh* And yes, this time was no different , although she is deteriorating , which isn't a surprise as shes had dementia for the past 15 years .
What seriously narks me is that my 2 older brothers live close by and whilst one visits rarely, the other one hasn't seen her more than once or twice in the last 10 years *grr*
I understand that its really hard to see her looking so frail, even harder to cope with the fact that she doesn't have a clue who we are and hasn't done for the last 8 years ,but with the best will in the world I really can't just pop in to see her what with living 250 miles away, and yet I get called to bring in new nighties and such when the gruesome twosome live within 5 and 25 miles away respectively !
