So far behind this morning…

Apr 24, 2015 08:14

it’s a sort of murky, go back to bed kinda day here. It’s good advice. I wonder if I’ll listen to it.

Friday at last and while it’s great that it’s the weekend, it’s going to be a full one. Waterloo had a show tomorrow and for some reason, our fearless leader has decided that we need to load in tonight - at 11:30. We have the room all day tomorrow and we don’t stay playing until 9:30 pm tomorrow. Why, oh, why? Only Wells knows and he isn’t talking. It’s a “So I have said, so it shall be done” situation. Just don’t ask me if I’m happy about it.
I’m excited to be working with the band and I suppose in my heart of hearts, I knew there were going to be late nights, but after five years, I’m tired. There is talk that this will be Waterloo’s last year and this is the only function that I will be working in my role as a spot op. The rest of our engagements are either during the day or very early evening. I’ll still be there, though, helping the Big Guy out.

We are out tonight with friends, then the show tomorrow and on Sunday a Bon Voyage party for Barb and Jeff. I used to live for the weekends, now I look forward to the week so I can get caught up on my sleep. Still they are off after this, so things will be very quiet for the next couple of weeks. And if you believe that, I have some swampland you might be interested in.

Watched the end of Broadchurch 2 last night and I found myself, while unhappy with the initial result, content with how everything was wrapped up. I'm glad there was closure for both Ellie and Alec. While it was a bit confusing at first (trying to remember who everyone was), I like this one even better than the first one. They say there is one more. I'm very interested to see what they cook up for that one.

They say rain today and it's actually snowing up in the mountains. I'm hopeful. Rain would be lovely, even if we have to unload in it.

There are many things I’d like to do today… write, read nap. I wonder if any of them will happen.
