I have a TON of stuff packed away. Going to try to clear out the older stuff first esp as I'm likely to discover some treasures in there. :)
The fried rice turned out pretty amazing ... 2 Chinese sausages, an omelette made with 2 eggs, and about 100 gm of shrimp for protein and 1/2 cup each peas, carrots and corn. Just some the whites of a couple of stalks of green onion, a clove of minced garlic and a thumb of minced ginger, with a few shakes of ground white pepper for seasoning and soy sauce to taste. A drizzle of toasted sesame seed oil over the top at the end and a sprinkle of green onion tops for garnish.
Lots of dishes left in the sink for later but there are 2 more generous servings left for later.
Tomorrow, I'm probably going to have a cheeseburger, hash brown patties, onion rings and salad for supper. No cooking involved just baking in the oven and some reheating.
You remember correctly and it went beautifully. The military ceremony was lovely and TBG read Dad's favorite poem. Afterwards, we went to a restaurant and lifted a glass to him and told stories. It was lovely. Even the horrible drive wasn't too bad.

We had a reception after Dad’s internment today. I am too stuffed for dinner.
