thefridayfive Since NaNoWriMo is this month, here are some writing themed questions from Dreamwidth user pebble_in_a_lake.
1. Where do you get ideas/inspo(inspiration) for your writing?
2. Do you have a favorite place to write?
3. What are your tricks for getting through writers block?
4. Favorite genre to write? Do you have a different favorite genre for reading?
5. What is something you really want to write but haven't gotten around to yet?
1. Everywhere. There are times I use prompt sites, but often a song lyric or something I’ve read or seen on line will suggest something. TBG is also good for a prompt or seven.
2. In front of my computer. It doesn’t matter where the computer is located. As long as I have a computer, I can write.
3. I don’t know that I’ve ever suffered from writer’s block, per se. I usually have two or three stories going at a time and shift back and forth. Often, I just close my eyes, let my imagination take over, and start typing. It hasn’t led me wrong yet.
4. Horror, mystery, espionage. Heck, I’ll read just about anything, but I prefer cozy mysteries.
5. Um, nothing. If I want to write something, I write it. I’ve never pretend to want to write the Great American Novel. Short stories are my favorite and that’s what I prefer to write.
