“I like to think of it less than an entitlement and more of a necessity.” Mrs. Slocomb said. She’d just been to the salon. “Men have their hobbies. They go out on a boat, or they photograph objects.”
“More like they want to exile themselves when they see a thing of beauty coming their way,” Mr. Lucas said.
“Thank you, Mr. Lucas.”
“Then there’s you. They’re in hiding.”
“The ratio between your brain and a mop is growing smaller by the day.”
“Maybe I need an appointment at your salon.”
“Or a walk along a very dark road at night.”
