My feeble effort…

“I planned a limited explosion, not a huge fire,” Illya Kuryakin grumbled, his expression glum.
“Setting a device at that pace creates opportunities for things to go wrong. Not your fault,” Napoleon Solo replied. “The important thing is that the Thrush lab was decommissioned.”
“Still…” Illya sighed unhappily. “I failed.”
Napoleon recalled the surreal vision of his partner dashing through flames to free the helpless lab animals.
Solo patted Illya’s uninjured arm reassuringly. “No. You didn’t fail. Now rest and get well, please.”
“The burns are not severe,” Kuryakin murmured, lying back in the infirmary bed. “Thank you, my friend.”

Poor Illya. He's got a classic case of ,"Think you used enough dynamite there, Butch?" - it's the only thing I remember about that movie. At least the animals were saved! Illya, and you, for the win!

It’s not a failure if the innocents were saved, IK. Nice job.
