1. Keyboards. Or a language.

3. To understand this, you have to know I (who am white/Asian) went to schools that were predominately attended by Black students. In one class, the girl who sat next to me didn't always get the assignments written down before the teacher moved on to the next thing. I'd let her see what I'd written. We moved on to talking about the classes and what we were doing. Come yearbook day, I asked her to sign my book. I was deeply gratified when I saw she'd written that I'd proved that not all white people were assholes.

5. I have no idea. Books? CDs? More space in my house?

1. Spanish or French; can't make up my mind. Spanish comes easier to me to pronounce, by far. But French is, well, French!

I know what you mean. I am learning both right now and Spanish is the easier of the two.

I think I come by it because of where I grew up. The neighborhood was mixed Black, Hispanic, with the rare white or Asian family. So I heard Spanish a LOT.

For me, it was French. I am half French and when the family got together it was all that was spoken.
