Still haven't gotten anything back from LJ, but yesterday was a holiday, so I wasn't expecting it. Hopefully soon, thought.
For the last week, I've been struggling with a cold (yes, an honest-to-Pete cold) and I thought it was licked. Today, I'm not so sure. Probably trying to hack up a lung isn't a good way to start the day, although it's better now. Had to get everything shifted.
Yesterday, all the Christmas decorations came down, including the stuff out front. This is good because we are supposed to have a big storm headed towards us. I need to check the cat houses today to make sure they have dry clean towels. I'm glad the lights are down. Please note, I said down, not packed away. That is today's task if I'm feeling up to it. I might have over-done yesterday.
Today is also decision day for Wendy. She was heading up to Medford this weekend to look over the property that her folks are in the process of buying... except they can't get fire insurance for it. Probably why the house has been on the market since 2019. It's 11 acres in the middle of nowhere with no phone or Internet service. Since M is nearly 80 and his wife is my age, I don't know what they are thinking. It's 30 minutes to the nearest town and no neighbors for over five miles. It backs up to the forest and there's just a dirt road in and out. They live in Florida. None of them even know how to drive in the snow or ice. M has a pace maker, Rose has major health issues... and Wendy is staying in Florida for at least the next two years. I don't think they thought this through, not really. Anyhow, even if the house fell through, Wendy was thinking of flying to Medford and the plan was for us to join her. Yeah, it's supposed to snow all weekend. That leaves me out. I would think she's want to see the city in its best light, not in the middle of a snowstorm, but I'm also not 30, either.
Anyhow, now you are caught up with everything that has been happening here as of late. Exciting, isn't it? :P
