“Are you coming, Steel? Everyone else has already retired.” Sapphire sat down beside her partner. He looked a bit ragged around the edges from their last assignment. “Staring at it won’t create a different outcome.”
“I just don’t understand it.” Steel shifted his angle slightly.
“Few of us do, it’s something very human.”
“You’ve always been my guide in all matters human.” His eyes were hopeful and she hugged him
tightly.
“Yes, but even I don’t understand everything. What can I say to persuade you to come to bed?”
“Just explain to me how celery can even be considered edible.”
