All quiet on the Western Front (except for the coughing from the smoke)

It’s been a while since I’ve updated, but honestly, nothing is happening here. It’s hot, it’s smoky, and it’s boring… As Covid numbers go up, we hunker back down. I’m so tired and bored with this and sort of disappointed that we can’t seem to get our crap together. That’s neither here or there, though.

This week has been one of many appointments, either doctor, acupuncture or something else, like hair and car stuff. We’ve also been on a bit of a fall house cleaning binge as our next door neighbor, Lisa, and her son, Phoenix, are coming to dinner. I am hoping they like Japanese. It gave me an excuse to clean the carpet, which really needed it and the windows - why, oh, why do all the outside cats have to pee on our windows?

Work continues on the haunted house and we are just about through with the play room. I still have to put up the trim and reattach the roof, but I am thinking of pulling the floor so that we will have easier access to the first floor. Plus that would make doing the ceiling much easier… and the floor treatment on the other side, too.

It's not totally done and this isn't the final look, but at least it gives you an idea. I have to admit, drawing that border was harder than I thought it would be. Chas Addams style is hard to match.

And quilting, I’m still quilting away. Have all the applique work done on the newest quilt and have two of the nine small squared finished. Looks like it will be done in plenty of time for Christmas. *Yay*

Yeah and that’s it. Aside from starting to work on my Halloween stories. Not much is happening. I’m always excited for that, especially when it requires research! :DDD

Rock on everyone and stay safe out there!
