I have intended to sit down every morning this week and do an update… so, how did it get to be Thursday already?
First off, Jeff is home and doing well. He came home Tuesday night and the doctors were wrong about the pneumonia. He does have a nebulizer that he’s using and is feeling well enough that he has sent the girls home. I’m hoping it’s not premature on his part, but he knows where we are and they will be back tomorrow evening.
Yesterday we went to the theatre and worked in the back. It felt so good to have a Makita in my hand after all this time. We put the facing on the platforms that make up the outside stage. After a bit, I went inside to babysit the box office while Araceli was at a doctor’s appointment. It was a full circle for me. I started by volunteering in the box office 11 years ago. However, I did not offer to photo copy for Dennis. That he can do himself - he gave up and ordered another score instead.
Have to say that I love my Kindle and have been putting it to good use. It's just as easy as everyone said and it's the perfect size for me.
The rest of the time has been spent watching them landscape around our place. They have actual dug holes for the plants, but they are still in their gallon buckets. We have purple grass behind our place and will have rosemary bushes out front (at least something we can use). I’m hoping it won’t be a train wreck, but we will see.
Took the car in to have its annual inspection. Just about everything that could be wrong was and how much do you want to bet the a/c still won’t work when everything is said and done? And still it’s cheaper to repair it than think about getting a new car. Sigh…
Sadly, our CV numbers for San Joaquin are starting back up, we are 8 in 100,000. I’m expecting the governor to shut us back down again. This is all because we can’t get enough vaccine while other counties can’t give it away. Sigh… Then the governor announced a drought emergency for Mendocino and Sonoma counties - which just happens to house his winery and vineyard - nothing to San Joaquin, Fresno or Stanislaus… we just grow all the crops - why would we need water? I so hope that recall flies.
