This was the week that was, that's for sure. How it went so fast is beyond me. The blues hit me pretty hard on Wednesday, no real idea why. I guess it was stress over the ongoing fight at the WH. 45 just can't let go, despite having lost both the popular and electoral college votes. He's been an embarrassment for years and it's just getting worse. Trump is now saying he's not going to release the vaccine unless we let him have a second term. Like he has that power, but the sheer hatred and spite of the man. At least the last states have been awarded. I just hope he doesn't incite violence for the inauguration. If he does, I hope they buried his ass.

Corvid is also dragging me down. Our cases are going up and I know we are going to lose our current status and go back to most restricted again. It's so hard because everyone seems to be doing the best they can at obeying the restrictions and yet here we are again. I just feel so broken at times.

This was TBG's last week of work. He still has to work Monday and then he is on vacation until the end of the year. This is normal, so I'm just going to treat it like usual and not fuss. Monday I am taking him out to dinner at Cocoro (before we get shut down again) and that it will to celebration vacation. Not sure what I'm going to do for Dec. 31st, though. We have money for a party (on AT&T), but a lot will depend upon the pandemic and what now.

It feels weird to be facing a holiday season without all the parties. We will celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with Barb, but no massive dinner parties, appetizer parties, or Christmas luncheons, etc. It's going to be a hard Christmas for us all. I'm determined to make it as merry and bright as I can, if not for anyone else, then for TBG and me.

On the other hand, I've been enjoying writing my Christmas fics and am well on my way! I've only got five fics left to write. Hmmm, what else can we do...?

Made a couple new dishes this week, including Pork Chops in Sour Cream Sauce. Oh, my gosh it was good. I love having another recipe for pork chops as we tend to eat them a lot.

The cats are well as are we and our friends. We have haircuts this Friday, I have made the appointments for wine tasting during our weekend in Sutter Creek. I have made my appointment for my physical and, for the first time ever, I managed to print out labels for Christmas cards right the first time (Yay).

Christmas shopping is going along well and I think we are going to do the fruitcakes this weekend.
My house is clean and I have money in my account. What more do you need?

Take care, everyone, it's getting scary again. *hugs*
