It was a week well spent, that's for certain. My big project is done at work and I managed to find all but about 24 programs. I have reached out to our long term members to see if anyone has some I can borrow for the archives.
It was perfect weather for trick or treating last night and we had a bunch of them. The last group came around eight, just as we were finishing up the last Downton Abbey episode. I can't believe we have watched all six seasons already, but we still have the movie. Anyhow, the kids were cute. We had bags of candy for them and Ferrero Rocher for the parents. They seemed delighted to be remembered. Our neighbors came over with their little guy (1st grade) and daughter (a senior). I bet he was a surprise. Anyhow, they are fun kids - we met them last year when they would come and play with the kittens. He was quite devastated when we gave the last one away.
Now come the hard part - the undecorating. We will still leave the autumn stuff up until Thanksgiving, but the Halloween stuff will come down this weekend. I've already pulled all the soft items that will need to be washed before being packed away. When I take that stuff to the shed, I will start bringing back Christmas stuff. Sigh, how can it be possible that it's time to think of such things...
It helps that Barb and Jeff are home. We are hoping to see them this weekend, but it will depend upon how they are feeling... and there's the damned time change to deal with - not happy.
My thanks to everyone who participated in my 13 Days of Halloween. Between that, the Scrapbook Challenge and Spook Me, I wrote just a few words short of 30,000. Not too shabby at all. :D
So, hello, November. I hope you will be kind to us all. Have a brilliant weekend all!
