Sweetie, I've been on lurking mode recently because the way this fandom works was getting to me - you only get somewhere when you kiss arse or suck up to the other authors and I don't want to live a life like that. When it comes to this situation you've foudn yourself in, I've been here and done this all before with other authors. Don't give up writing because someone believes you've done something you didn't. That is exactly what they want you to do. I think you're a very talented writer with a lot to give to this fandom. You acted like any friend would--you tried to resolve the issue! I believe you when you say you had no part in this fiasco and I really think you should just stick it to them and continue writing. I love reading your stories, and I think it would be a great shame for you to stop posting them.

You were only trying to help, if the person in question [the one who decided to slander you!] can't see this then they're blind.

Thanks hun, i think i need to take a break from writing though because all of this has really ot to me. I hate feeling like i've done something wrong by trying to be fair to everyone. But it means a lot to me when a writer like yourself who is so talented says they enjoy reading my stories so thanks so much. I think it's something i need to think a lot about and maybe when all this dies down and i feel better i will start posting again

I'm currently on hiatus from LJ. I am pretty sick of this place and what it does to people who are just bystanders. The quicker this fandom gets itself sorted the better, a lot of my friendlies are just as pissed as I am about how getting anywhere in this place is about how much, or how big the arse you kiss is. I highly recommend taking some time away from this place. I have and I'm so much happier, I'm writing for myself now and I'm more pleased with the work I've been doing.

So, take a break...wait for it all to die down again and just ignore the jibes that get thrown your way--because you were only trying to do the right thing and get rid of the offending chapter.

And when I say I enjoy reading your stories, I mean it. I think you're a good writer and you should continue, just take a little hiatus, post at your website and don't let all this shit get to you.

yeah i took a week off a few weeks ago and i loved it, i felt much better and i ahve a lot of uni work to get done in the next 3 weeks in the lead up to easter hols so maybe another hiatus is exactly what i need.

Thanks again, u ahve really made me feel better., knowuing that such a great writer thinks my work is good makes it worth keeping going, even if only for myself.

I have no clue as to why you were compared to me, possibly because I don't write that much in the way of NC17 or maybe because we have similar styles or something. I have to say though, I'm not one to blast new writers, I'm quite the opposite--always offering support and encouragement and giving praise where it's due

*hugs* thanks you are so sweet! the people that were doing the comparing and blaming were pretty random and they did it through emails to me so I'm not really sure if they are lj users or what not. It was hurtful at first especially since I didn't even know who you were (no insult meant) but then when I read some of your stuff I was partially honored to be put in the same catagory but like I said it was mostly done as a "give up you'll never reach that level" sort of thing - but whatever right, people are just stupid sometimes I guess. Actually I got so mad I attempted writing a NC17 piece but again more for my own benefit...I just have to remember that and that I have some people who like my stuff so that's always a plus. Hey if you ever get a chance I'd love to get your opinion on my work - have no problem with constructive critism since I know I have a lot to learn still...it's so nice to have a new friend who is an author and gets the ridiculousness that this fandom can take sometimes *hugs* I'm sorry you've had to go through

Bitten and Babyblue, Maybe it's just me and maybe not but a Fandom I thought was for The Fans of their favorite subject or whatever it is one enjoys. NO ONE PERSON can own SPUFFY FANFICTION. Joss is the only one who owns the charectors of THE SHOW along with his people, but FANFICTION is for and read by INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE such as myself! I don't write because I don't have that gift but I READ and I VOTE and I AM A FAN of both of yours! These people you think you have to kiss their Asses to make it DON"T MEAN SHIT! DO they get PAID for their writing of Spuffy fiction? I;ve never seen them on CNN or any other News station getting famous for something thats FOR FUN and Entertaining on boring days.Do THESE HOT SHITS OWN LJ?
