It's raining is San Luis! The enjoyment was further increased when it becam apparent that the rain had only come to visit me, as I am the only one down here enjoying it. On the way back from the math test, I saw a bumper sticker that said "Bush is scary. Vote Kerry". Catchy, but sad at the same time. Voting for one shouldn't be based solely on the inadequacy of the other. That makes no sense I think to anyone but me. So I'll continue... It just seems silly. Voting is choosing the person who is qualified and, at least in my opinion, a step above the rest. And that should be a clear choice. Think about every previous president (excluding Dubya) and you get a picture of a man separate from peers. I don't get that at all with Bush. Do I get it with Kerry? I think so, but at the same time, I'm not sure. I heard from my boss yesterday about a man who has accurately polled the winner of each election in the past twenty years. He does it by asking different questions of the voters than normal pollers. This year, to predict the winner of the presidential election, he asked voters "Would you rather vote for the Scarecrow, who has a heart but no brains, or the tin man, who has brains but no heart?" Think about that. It all depends on the world situation, economy, domestic policy, and a thousand and one other little factors. And puts it all into a totally different mindset. For me. Anyway, it was by this line of questioning that he predicted a a week before the actual election that Gore would win the popular vote, but Bush would scrape by with the electoral votes. And what did he predict for the 2004 race? I think I'll keep that a secret, unless you read about it. We'll see how accurate he is, I suppose. Anyway, math test is done, its raining, and I have physics lab today, which means an early day! Off to scrounge food and wake up phil with loud (but good) music.
