Decided to do this one, as I very rarely bother to listen to the music I've got on the computer. So here follows the music player meme. You know the one - open your media player and set it to random. List the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. Thanks to josephine_64 for showing me the way. :)

You have some good stuff in there. And Goody Two Shoes? It's been a long time since I heard that song. I used to be a massive Adam Ant fan years ago. :D

I got 4 or 5 Adam Ant tracks from Napster, as I didn't want the whole album, but felt the need for some Antmusic.

cool selection ... I've only heard Tom Waits at the boyf's dad's house, (where it caused a whole heap of fun, as his step-mum despises Tom Waits with a passion), but based on that limited exposure I have to agree he can't sing :o)

love Beautiful South and Green Day, and know most of the others, but there are a couple I haven't: Jack Johnson and Michael Buble? Worth me looking out for? Who or what are they similar too ...

Well, the Jack Johnson stuff is sort of bouncy (I think he's from Hawaii, so it's feelgood poppy stuff). Michael Buble sings mostly covers, in an easy listening, jazzy sort of style, but 'Home' is a song he wrote himself. I just think he has a lovely voice. Check your email though, I've zipped a couple of songs for you to see what you think.

thanks, that'll be fantastic! ... I haven't seen them in my mail, but depending on the size yahoo might have bounced it ... it seems to be a bit fussy every now and then

Let me know - if it doesn't work I'll just stick them on a CD for you and let you have it at the weekend.

Good stuff! (Although I take exception to the Tom Waits remark ;) )

I love his songs, but prefer the way other people sing them. I'm the same with Leonard Cohen - I'd rather listen to other people sing his stuff than the man himself. :))

I'm the same way with Cohen, but there's something about Waits' voice that just hits me... I don't know what it is. Same with Springsteen, really--they're rough and just this side of on tune, but it appeals to me somehow. :)

And incidentally... OMG four days!!!!

OMG four days!!!!

I know!!!! Are you packed - did your clothes turn up? Forcast is warm and sunny for Thursday, rainy on Friday and cloudy but hopefully dry on Saturday. Temperatures are quite warm for the UK in October. See you soon hopefully.

Quite a few I don't know - including the James Marsters ones. One of these days I'll get around to listening to some of his.

If you want a copy of James' CD I'm happy to burn one for you - just let me know. :)
