(no subject)
Ok I am going to start this ALL over again... I was soo close to finishing my entry and then i clicked a link and I lost it all...
So yesterday Keebz, Ashley, Shawna and I went hiking to Cedar Creek Falls... The scenary on the way there was nice... Keebz took some pics..
I saw this place called the Turkey Inn I made Keebz take a picture of it...
We saw some photo happy sheep...
A mule who was all over Keebz...
Horses...
We also see a cow..
I know what you are thinking there is no cow there.. Well this is what we call an Explination Shot... We are driving Ashley sees a cow... I tell Keebz take the pic... she pulls out the camera... but since we are moving she doesn't get the Cow... instead she gets the rock that is now in FRONT of the cow... oh well no cow picture...
Also we saw a tree randomly in the middle of the road...
We get to Trailhead about 30 minutes later and right away we see Mildred Falls
We begin the 1.5 mile hike down the mountain... Along the way we stop and I take this picture....
As we get closer to the creek I yell to the girls that I can hear the water... but I look back and I see...
They are a bit too far for them to hear me... This is when accident .. 1 happened... That same slope they are on gets a bit steep.. I told them to be careful coming down... Keebz picked up unwanted speed... She yells for me to catch her.. So I make my way towards her.. She was soo close and then she tripped... hit her head and her chest on a rock... She got some real bad scrapes... Ashley and I tell her to stay with Shawna and we would get water to wash all the dirt and stuff off... We take off towards the creek...
When we get back to where we left Keebz and Shawna they were gone... I was like what is the the freakin' Blair Witch Project... I'm yelling for Keebz and Shawna... Ashley climbed on a rock to see if she could see them... Finally we find them further down the trail and by the creek AHEAD of where we were...
I walked over to the edge of the creek... I saw we were at the TOP of Cedar Creek Falls...
I knew it would be too hard for Keebz to go down and then back up so we just decided to chill at the creek...
The heat started to get to us and we started to get really silly... I know I look uber gay... Keebz is all like AH! A camera... Ashley is thinking I'm shy and innnocent...
We sat down and had lunch there at the creek... Then because of the heat decided to have a giant water fight...
Don't ask about the hair because I don't know what is going on with it... its all wet... LOL... Shawna and Keebz were sitting in the creek, Ashley decided to join...
We have a mini video of Shawna sliding down the creek, but I don't know how to upload a video on here...
Ashley got brave and went to the edge of the waterfall...
Then she was just chillin by the side of the creek... This is where accident ..2 and ..3 happened..
Ashley was just chillin here and I walked over to take a picture with her... Well I get there and I my feel slip under me... I fall on my ass, hit my elbow and my right arm ends up sweeping under Ashley and we both fall into the creek... We get stuck for a bit and can't climb out of the water... That was accident ..2 and then when we do manage to get up... I'm saying ouch because of my elbow, and laughin because I brought Ashley down with me... She is asking me if I am ok.. Then she suddenly slipps again and goes back in the creek face first... Accident ..3... lucky she didn't hit her face on the rocks...
We all sit and watch the water and rest... Then out of nowhere a really hot guy shows up... We are all watching... He then moons whoever was at the bottom of the falls... Yea there are some pics of him... and No he didn't moon us...
We pack everything up and decide its time to get back up to the top... We begin the long and tiresome hike back up those 1.5 miles... I pull ahead with Shawna following close behind me... At the end we are all winded and tired... We get back in the car and drive back home... Keebz passes out in back of the Explorer... I say its a good thing I got this SUV or we wouldn't have made it here on the Camry... On the way back we see a vulture in the road... I was gonna take a picture of it while it was eating roadkill but a car came by and scared it off... So I took a few pics while it was in a tree...
On the way back we stopped at a store bandaged Keebz up and bought a pie from The Julian Pie Factory.... We made it back home around 7 or something... Overall it was a lot of fun... Next time we go more prepared, with more water, bandages and better hiking shoes...
