Well everything went pretty well. Unlike last year, I didn't get sick :D Here's a rundown of what happened.
Friday:
Arrived at the airport around 10:50 AM and took only about 10 minutes to get to the hotel on the shuttle. Checked in with my roommates at the executive wing and started seeing friends as well as make new ones. I didn't have time for opening ceremonies because the prereg line was an hour long. I shot some video of fursuiters before heading to the gaming room to play some Catan and Aye Dark Overlord. Also played a few rounds of rock band playing vocals and keys. I caught Uncle Kage's Story Hour and 2's Rant. It was pretty much the same material I've heard. Though it was announced that 2 was going to cut down on performances so he can have some free time doing other things including making new rants. Then there was Whose Lion Is It Anyway. I hung around for Questions Only and did pretty well.
Saturday:
I had found out that the new camera that I had bought the previous week had suddenly stopped working for some reason. That's $60 down the drain. So I only managed to catch footage of Friday. Sry! Anyway, I had done rehearsals with Growly for the variety show. Our skit was called Living On A Gas Card, which is a comedy song by Tim Wilson about a man who got kicked out of his house and is living in the parking lot of a gas station. It did pretty well at the show. The fursuit parade was pretty much smooth. We got free bandanas ^^ I had spent the rest of that afternoon hanging with friends and playing more board games.
Sunday:
Always the hardest day of the con. I went to a panel hosted by Rukario, but the problem is he never showed up. I was a bit worried because it wasn't like him to miss a panel. I went to the video gaming room to watch some Mortal Kombat and watch warriors get brutally slaughtered. Then the best game I've probably seen in a long time: You Don't Know Jack! This was one of the funniest trivia games I've ever played. I don't know why this hasn't gotten more popularity than it does now. They actually took the time to make jokes on every single question in the game. I want it now. :P After the closing ceremonies went around, I suited as Loki for a while since I haven't given him much action. Afterwards, I played Apples to Apples with some other furs and stayed up all night to play Vegas Showdown for the first time. I did pretty well and actually almost won the second time around.
Monday:
Since my flight was early in the morning, I decided to just get my sleep on the plane. I packed everything up and started heading out. Then as I'm about to walk out, I hear music and see a whole line of fursuiters parading around the hotel. It had seemed that there was another planned fursuit parade at 3:00 AM. Only about 30 showed up. This did catch me off guard as I would not expect to wake up to a fursuit parade at 3:00 AM. So after that excitement, I headed out to O'hare and got my sleep on the plane.
Video footage is being edited right now and will be posted soon. Also, I'm looking for fursuiters to help with a skit at FWA. You don't have to attend to be in this. The reason I'm planning this so early is because this is gonna take some time to complete. All you need is a camera/webcam with microphone, and a phone (doesn't matter what kind). I'm trying to get as many as possible to help out. If you wish to participate, let me know and I'll give you all the details.
