Reality in roleplaying?
I'm having a laugh at the current PbP roleplay I am in. A few of the players are engaged is a lengthy discussion of how difficult it is to move across a cobblestone road in the rain and drawing a weapon while half drunk.
Then it dawned on me.
I have actually HAD TO run across wet cobblestone while drawing a weapon and half-drunk. I give it a DC of 16 unless one is an experienced drinker who has ever been to Kevin Barry's in Savannah, GA and had to run back to the car to put more change in the parking meter while half-shitfaced..and of course armed against potential muggers or overly agressive street performers.
And it's even harder when wearing iron shoeheels.
