Orc-related stuff

Tomorrow is our annual Warlord-Weekend at Hobbytown, though a bit smaller in scale than last years. We have a few prizes, not quite as many likely participants, and the store isn't staying open past-hours for any ten-thousand point battle-royales.. but I digress.

Codename:Shizzleton has agreed to produce for me a drawing of an orc. Aside from the fact that I want to increase my collection of famous orcs drawn by fantastic artists, I am in need of a spokes-orc for the 28mm Theatre. It wasn't an easy decision to make either. Each of 'em is special in their own little way, but in the end I picked Krunk.

The reason I need a drawing is I want to create a design for merchandise on CafePress.
There's also the matter of making absolutely positively certain that rendering an original cartoon-style drawing of a Reaper model isn't stealing intellectual property. Nevertheless, it would be best to have a design already created to PM to whomever at Reaper needs to oversee such things.

Now..with all this in mind, I am also thinking it might be time to create a wiki.

WHICH brings me to the next tidbit. This week's cartoon miiight be a day or two late. What with the tournament, and what with my monday-off being cancelled, it will likely be up Tuesday evening.

Oh..and in rather un-orkly news, the Steampunk campaign I have been muchly anticipating is finally underway. Our first session went as smoothly as any first-session I can recall.

And FINALLY... for those of you who have not been to the Reaper website lately, there is a lead article on the front page concering a new line of pre-painted plastic minis that should debut in June. I for one am looking forward to this... especially since the first releases will include (among other less important things) orcs!

SQUEEEE!

So... goodnight little world. Sleep tight and dream green!
