But I see your true colors

Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

I suppose y'all get tired of me going on and on about orcs. I suppose maybe a few of you wonder if I ever blog about anything else...like relationships, dysfunctional childhood, quest for the perfect wardrobe, or how I wish they'd un-cancel Serenity.

Nope...not gonna do it... so NYAH!

Okay... orc-related news.. :)

He's STILL not quite finished, but he's SOOO almost finished it's not even funny. All those missed-spots and booboos show up like crazy on my 19X monitor...and it doesn't do him any favours being posed next to Mr. Speed-Hack's 1-hour elf....grrrrrr....but that's elf-related news which I'll get around to in a moment.

"Lumps and Friend"

Now I'm working on four other orcs. They're old DHL fellas, but I'm learning as I go so the going is slow. The good news is that now I get to use the "good" paintbrushes and the proper paint-mixing thingie..and I now have.. or should I say share a studio.

My stepdaughter's old bedroom is now officially "The Reven Room". It's where I do my webcomic photography, where I assemble my scenery projects, and where I keep my orcs, which I have been told I have "too damn many of". When the bed got moved out, I brought in a folding card table to work at and thought to myself, "Self..this looks like a nice clutter-free environment to paint in."

Silly me, I went and asked Steve if he wanted to talk me through the last stages of finishing up Lumps, to which he agreed... and them promptly moved in with his autumn trees, autumn-themed Elves, autumn-colours palette and other Steve-ishness. GRRRR! As IF the other spare room, the garage and the diningroom table are not enough workspace, he's invaded my wORCspace.

But I'm painting... WHEEE! It's addictive. I want to finish him properly and the other four too..and the other two dozen assorted goblinoids in the queue on my "shelf of shame"

OMG I have a shelf of shame already?

..and in NON-orc-related news, I got kudos from my market supervisor at work the other day for "making the PERFECT lunch" when he visited. He gave me a pair of Six Flags tickets!!
