Oh thank you that was wonderful! Such a cruel trick to play on Giles, but so vampire like! The Fanged Three at their worse!

I'm delighted that you liked it! It was quite a diabolical trick to play on Giles, wasn't it? I'll bet Darla would have been sorry she missed it! *g*

Ah yes, Dru and company having their wicked way with poor Giles. And at least he had a few fleeting moments of pleasure in all that pain.
Another good job.

Thank you! It was definitely fun to write the Fanged Three having evil fun! Hee! Although, I did feel bad about the psychological pain Giles was in for when he realized what was going on. Poor Giles!

Excellent job!

I always thought Dru and her mind games would be worse than the physical torture. Physical wounds heal, but the mental scars would always be there.

Thank you so much!

You are quite right in that mental scars are so much worse than physical ones. Poor Giles, thinking he had what he really wanted and then discovering it was all a trick. Occasionally, I am ev0l. *g*

Oh man, yes, this is what broke him. Not Angelus's brutality: he could mock that. Nope. It was being offered what he wanted so very much.

Yes, exactly! He was standing up quite well to Angelus' torture; both he and Wesley were very able to withstand brutality without giving in. It was the emotional horror of realizing that what he'd thought he had experienced was just a mindfuck that broke him! (As Illyria's Fred impersonation was what finally broke Wesley.)

Thanks for your comment!

Oh, it's so Angelus how you have him think of hurting both Giles and Spike through Dru.

And this was a nice touch of humor:

“Sorry?” Giles asked in confusion. “Did you just say ‘mummy’?”

“Of course not, silly boy! I said ‘Jenny’-let Jenny make you feel good. Although, if you’d like me to be mummy, I can be anything you wish.”

Hee! Definitely one of Angelus' diabolical plans, hmm? Two birds - one Drusilla-shaped stone! And Dru was definitely used to speaking of herself as 'mummy' with Spike, so I thought it would be reasonable for her to slip with Giles (who was still smart enough to catch the slip), and then, of course, she recovered in her own inimitable way. *g*
