The system really is corrupt.

I kind of feel like I was trying to diffuse a bomb that I didn't help assemble and it blew up in my face.

I got written up for correcting a couple of time entries upon request by coworkers. I never knew that wasn't okay. I only knew that I was taught how to do it by a woman who denies teaching me how to do it.

Then another coworker called the confidential help hotline and said I called him and threatened him somehow. This is something that did not happen. It didn't come close to happening and I am not the kind of person who makes threats.

So. With no contacting me and no investigation into the matter, the company decided it didn't need its Location 25's best employee and I got fired this morning.

I got sacked because one guy lied.

I'm certain I'll get the job back. The manager and other employees don't want me gone. And they don't like other guy. Basically it's a matter of time.

But I fail to see how they can confront me about something that literally just. Never happened. Without ever giving me the chance to argue my case.

So the store and district managers told me I didn't have to sign the termination notice. And they told me to call the same number, state my case, and request a meeting between myself, Conniving Coworker, and two of the company's bigger wigs.

Trying to clear the air here. But I'm pretty upset and I think it a little strange how I can go from being seen as management material myself to something volatile and dishonest in the space of three days.

We'll see how this pans out. I love that job, and I will be damned if a troublesome liar will keep me from it.

Do consult your various gods, won't you?
