hmmm i wonder

it seems i can't escape having annoying neighbors, even when i have the freakin end room. to stay optimistic though, i've been trying to think of all the distractions as "stress training."
i figure that if i really want to be an astronaut, i'm gonna have to be able to deal with some not-so-happy environments and still get work done. usually i'm doing homework when some sort of disturbance starts and it just came to me what some of these things could be in certain situations.

neighbors be horribly loud = master alarm going nuts cuz there are major system failures
neighbors downstairs smoking out the window and the smoke drifting into my room = working with nearby compartments on fire
people upstairs playing ddr or whatever the devil is making them jump all the time = unexplained vibrations in the vehicle / space debris impact
fire alarms in the whee hours of the morning = waking up instantly to emergency situations / getting use to the fact that you really have no time zone
stupid drunk people = idiots at mission control who don't convert units properly

i know it's a major stretch but hey, it's better than me losing my temper and blowing their rooms up.

really really bad week is almost over. had three tests this week and several meetings and whatnot. deforms (short for Mechanics of Deformable Bodies) was on wednesday, which didn't go toooo well but was still fine...i think. operational methods was today, which was okay/good. if i haven't told you this already, my prof is just like Mr. Lau, except his name is Mr. Gao. "Laplace transform so powerful." materials test is due tomorrow (it's take-home, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean it's easy anymore). dynamics test was last friday too and i have an aircraft performance test on monday. went a lil nuts with my 21 credits. looking forward to the mental rest of the weekend.

also have my first interview for the Horton scholarship tomorrow, right before Moosh and i leave for W&M. sorry cyndie that it's at 5pm and if it weren't, we'd be there soooo much earlier. found out i'm being interviewed by a math, french, and mech. engineering prof. eep! they got people from both my minors and almost my major. well....i hope the french prof doesn't decide to test my proficiency. i'm sooo drained from this week. i hope i don't collapse before the interview. then it's off to williamsburg wheeee!! and then a week later, off to Seven Springs for some shweet shweet snowboarding and to see Catie!
