Argh, I hear you on the cold snap. I live in northern California (ABOVE San Fransisco, mind)and right now it's 27 degrees. In daytime it's been getting about 50 degrees. Brrr! I want my summer back!
Ahhh, I live in Sacramento, and it SNOWED on Monday morning. ;_; The ice on my car windows is just...ugh. Make it stoooop. *likes her flip-flops and tank-tops*
I'd feel sorry for any tourist who happened to visit during the cold snap. Poor Germany. XD
There was a joke I heard awhile back. A bunch of people from SoCal were getting worried about their neighbor, who was running the AC in the middle of a winter cold snap. After a few days, they decided to check up on said homeowners.
"Oh there's nothing wrong!" chimed the homeowner. "We have people visiting from Alaska."
Why can I see this totally happening with Russia? XD
I so feel the cold snap, too. I live in SoCal, in the valley, and it's currently 40F. My hands are numb. XD But I LOVE~~ this weather! ^__^
Anyhoo, cute fic! Poor Germany. XD Locals still wear Hawaiian shirts, so it's okay for Ludwig to wear his. ^_^ He'll fit right in. But yes, he'll need warmer clothes this time of year. Honetsly, Alfred should have told him to do so. ^^; Dork.
What? And you don't roundly mock the people in said fashion atrocities? Because where I've lived (I've lived in the desert and the coast), we mocked them mercilessly until they decided to conform to our silly style.
Unless they were professors. In which case I just kind of took the assault to the eyes in silence. Which was difficult, considering the last one I had was a Bavarian Santa who wore the Hawaiian shirts in the loudest color combinations possible (the red and yellow one was his favorite). With the grey socks and Moses sandals. I cry just from the memory.
Haha! It's hard to mock people in said shirts when it's so prominent. I live about two hours away from the coast and less than an hour from Hollywood, so we get a ton of tourists wearing Hawaiian shirts and typical "beach wear". ^^ The locals feel "safe" enough to wear them considering this fact. Oh and tye-dye. >.> Over here, no one really gives a damn what others wear. XD
I'm glad I could amuse. My works tend to be darker and moodier, so this was a bit of a stretch for me.
Typing the fic out was kind of hard considering I couldn't feel my fingertips most of the time. -___- I can hear residents of other states mocking me now...
LOL...oh Germany. I don't know what it is about these two but them being in a fic together (no matter the context) always makes me smile. ALWAYS. I just don't know why there isn't more fic with them out there... *sighs*
I love Germany. But it was incredibly difficult for me to get into his head and write in his voice. And I'm pretty sure I even failed at that. Maybe I'm not repressed enough.
Though I'll certainly keep trying. Thanks for reading. :D
