Yeah, when I recently considered getting a fake ID, the first thing that came to mind was voting. I am so angry that I am missing this election by a year. I feel bad for friends who are missing it by one month, a few, or even days (right, Ed?). Anyway, I've been told that even with a fake ID, they (the government) can track you through Soc. Security and whatnot, and it would not be worth it to lose voting privileges for the rest of my life when I can easily encourage as many people now to vote vote vote, and do my part later in life.

voting requires more than a fake ID, guys.
you have to REGISTER to vote, which includes showing two forms of ID, and listing your permenant address and social security number. then all the forms have to clear, and it takes about four weeks to receive your registration card in the mail, which you must present with your ID at the polling centers. in order to get away with something like that you would have to create a whole fraudulent identity, not just a little ID.
plus, you should be doing less nerdy things than voting with your fake. go to a bar or a show or something.

Ooh, a fraudulent identity. Splendid idea. Then I can put my alter ego to work.

...the possibilities emerge...
